  • fuck me bob. listened to this 10 times. part of the education I need to be street poet. and fuck me. even nonconforming parking permitted is a FUCKING OFFENCE

  • bit wordy bob. yur brite. me? I want to be like you. street poet. hows it done. first you get education. so I watch all yur vids then snap I'm like you. brite and wordy

shitcanned. mass firing.riting assinment. monomaniac something. but what the fuck is the law of unintended consequences. OK. I know a lot of geezers in the slammer. none of them have heard of that fucking offence. pardon my french. but these days, i dunno bob, these days. the things you can get put away for.

  • Lol.

  • I'm sitting outside in my garden under the shade of a tree surfing the net via the WiFi in my house, and the youtube video I click on is your story about a carpark.

It was a great story and it kind of worked in an odd way, listening to it surrounded by nature.

Good luck with the script - did you finish it?

  • alone with my thoughts, driving around town. i liked that too.

i did that for the last 3 yrs. hauling ass.

it came to a halt back in december.

i'm glad. i miss it though in a way.

  • great story thanks

  • Congratulations you bald failure, you supported a candidate that lacked substance and will only make the situation in the economy worse. You stupid fat fuck, it will take a nation under disaster for you to see how stupid you fucking are.

  • I can see you in next I Am Legend playing Will Smith's part.

  • I was sad to see that TJ didn't answer your question in his 1hr 30 min video; I would have like to hear his answer.

  • So, MetaBob, did you park between the lines in the non conforming section in order to not conform to the non conformists? Snark.

    Nice video.

BTW - I also lost my job in Nov and it's lot looking very promising to get something new quickly.

  • To tell the truth I don't remember whether I parked between the lines or not. But if I did, I did it out of fear. ; P

Sorry to hear about the job situation....

Now there's a sentence I think we're all going to be using more often this year. I just wish I had an uplifting or helpful followup sentence...

  • I like the looking down thing instead of staring into the lens thing; seems more honest.

Apart from that I would still rather sit through a Morrissey record than watch this, in other words: I liked it.

  • I love that story - it's cheered me up after a grim start to the day - thank you.

  • I have no idea why but I love that story.

  • Very enjoyable story.

  • funny video.

  • Non conforming parking permitted... LOL, I'm imagining that someone somewhere must have complained about having to follow baseless parking rules and being forced to conform to the crowd's idea of what it means to park your car.

This wasn't pointless, this was fun. This was like your first year videos, I like it.

  • I wish I had asked about it at the reception desk, but I didn't and I don't think I ever made another delivery there.

At the time the most logical explanation I could come up with was that high paid "star" employees with expensive cars didn't want other cars to park close enough to ding them.

  • That makes sense, but the way you described the scene it was like the cars were abandoned.

I could see this as a scene in a future screenplay as a running gag.

  • *****

    profanity bump

    *****

  • I wish you the best of luck this year MetaBob, the last 10 seconds had me rolling!!!

  • I love it. Thanks, Bob, and Happy Birthday!

  • Happy Birthday Metabob! I'm not sure of the exact day, but I know its coming up here soon!

  • Thank you -- it's the eleventh.

BTW, are you planning to be at Hollywood YouTube gathering?

  • hollywood youtube gathering? pm info if you got some?

  • watch?v=zgEqI0bhVMs

  • Sorry to hear about all the bad luck going around, let's definitely hope '09 turns out better and good things come of it (I'm inclined to think they may because of Obama, but I could be wrong.)

Excellent story! And yeah, get some sleep, your work could be suffering because of inconsistent sleep patterns (and of course, I'm the one that has to start school bright and early tomorrow, you think I've been sleeping consistently? Of course not!)

Get some sleep, and good luck!

  • Some good is coming this year. At this point I can't say how much or how many people it will reach but something good will start by june of this year. A chance for change has been given to the american people and soon an outline for change around the world will surface.

  • lol

  • oh wow Bob that's a great story. I always enjoy what you have to say :)

  • Someone needed to take the law into their own hands. You should have ripped down that sign.

  • Wow that's awesome haha.

  • Aren't they all conforming by non-conforming?

  • NON-CONFORMING PARKING = ANARHCY.

Nice story. Like to dive around too. Generic office-hell needs it's paper. And you confronted this amazing phenomen.

  • hahah...great story

  • There are great apocalyptic moments that all geeks, me included, sometimes run into. I remember a lot of moments like that. And for a split second you'd get this awesome feeling of freedom. Finally, this is it! I'm not bound to the rules of society anymore! The apocalypse is here! I don't have to worry about my job or money, now I must only survive the undead! I know what I need to do, cause I've been romanticizing this dream of a zombie outbreak in my head forever!

    Everyone into the basement!

  • I was also fired back in September because my position was terminated. They now have someone making $5 and hour less doing what I was doing. Sorry to hear about your friends.

  • I'm sorry about your friends losing their jobs.

Now, you made me wanna drive.

  • Non-conformist, eh? I was going to guess zombies.

I also got the old heave-ho back in November. Here's hoping 2009 is better!

  • Oh no! Are you reemployed?

  • Not yet.

  • Yikes. Well, I know it sounds glib, but good luck.

At least you know that whatever happens, it can't shake your faith in a benevolent Creator. *rim shot*

  • Why did they bother painting the lines? :P

  • The lines have to be there to be able to not conform and not park between them.

  • (Gotcha. Well-put ending.)

I am deeply sorry for your two friends who lost their jobs. Having been canned only after a week at a job I mistakenly thought suited me the fuck right away and being forced to turn in a resignation at a prior one I kept for over two years, it's a shit unfair thing to go through. Oh, heard on NPR this morning manufacturing and construction are getting really hard-hit this year isn't that Cheerios.

Well, please go to sleep today. :) See you later.

  • ....I am sure I parked it in this general area...Ill just climb on top of this delivery van and look around...Damn! White would have to be the #1 car color...

  • As a non conformist, this video makes me want to take up driving -- something I never learned because I didn't want to conform to the rules of the road.

  • 'High maintenance subscriber'--listen to you! lol

  • Well I guess I would like this option over causal Fridays. :)

  • only in CallyFORneea!:)

  • Smile!

    :)
