Ever seen the "generic stadiums" in NCAA Football 2004? They look like they were modelled after Kid Brewer Stadium. I think App State eventually will expand their stadium. There's even a slight possibility that the attention brought to the program could slowly lead to expansions into something as scary to play in as Beaver Stadium.

There's actually a plan in the works to expand the stands at Kidd Brewer Stadium. However I can't remember just when its supposed to happen.

I go to App State...the construction is happening right now.....the upper duck on the east side is almost done and the 4 story press box is looking very intimidating

Cool! I wish I could get up there for a game this year, but the only game I could get to is the same time Wake Forest is playing Navy and I already have tickets to that game! Oh well, I was up there last year to watch them demolish Western Carolina

I am a Montana State fan, the rival team of the Montana Griz. The Griz have a huge stadium, which pisses me off. If you guys ever play them, please kill every one of them.

I don't know much about the Montana Grizzlies, but at our App vs Wofford game there was a dufus running around the App side with a huge Montana flag. Finally, the Wofford security had him removed from the stadium when he wouldn't sit down.

They going to move up to the BSD sometime soon after this renevation? I know the requirement to get in is averaging 20,000 fans per game for 4 years and the video said the rock averages 22,000 per game. I think they would do great in the ACC or Big East.

this video was made pre 2007 season...so before the whole michigan thing...this year, we actually lead the nation in attendence, over montana, and their stadium is twice the size as hours...we had 28,000 at 3 games, i think the average (including playoffs) ended up somewhere around 24,000

From what I have been told; there is no plan to move up. The lack of Title XI monies and facilities are the major issue for any move at this time. If we did move up it would be more of Conf USA before SEC or ACC.

The stadium isn't really going to be any bigger, we'll just have a new press box and stuff like that.

I was told there was going to be more seating. suppose to be ready by next football season.

There will be seats where the old press box was.  But we're not really expanding the stadium enough to add much seating.

the upper deck on the visitor side (small side) will be complete yes, the 5 story building will not be though..

I don't think new stadium work will be completed until '09 season. Congrats to Wofford on defeating Montana in the playoffs at THEIR place!! I'm glad we didn't have to play the Terriers again. I sat through the game at Spartanburg and knew then that Wofford was as tough a team as App could face.

They just announced an expansion in seating as well, adding 4,400 seats to the East Side of the stadium.
