As much as I would LOVE to search for lessons on the internet so I can learn Kaiser's body language, he has passed away. Keep your know-it-all comments to yourself. Since your the expert, then you should also know that yawning could mean a few things.

You know, I highly recommend sharing rice and veggies with your dogs. They should love it, and it's healthy for them just like it's healthy for us. I will sometimes make rice for my dogs but use chicken broth instead of water to make the rice. They love it!

Though true that a Husky will try to run you, it takes a lot more than just letting him/her know who's boss. Huskies are a very high energy dogs. You have to walk them many miles a day to keep them happy. I went from beings a relative couch potato to averaging over ten miles per day, otherwise there would be no living with my two Siberians. I think Kaiser is a very happy, well adjusted Husky. It's obvious that you're doing something right.

@donnok a husky will either run you around or be run around. My family was nice towards my husky and in the end we had to give him up because he was impossible to control. Dogs, especially huskies, need firm rules and to know who is the boss. Besides you shouldnt HIDE your food just because you have a dog.

@surfotw10 they dont like really hot weather, but they have an amazing ability to adapt, especially bcs they have 2 fur coats, they lose the undercoat during warm weather. and a husky survived in the desert for a month on its own, and his wet said that there were no signs of malnutrition or dehidration on him, so he should be fine. a baby pool would be great for him to be able to cool off :)

@73C4N0 not really no, you would to have pretty much shave him completely and/or keep him indoors all day, which is never a good thing for a breed like this. they evolved to survive in arctic winters from canada/alaska to russia and scandinavia. would be the equivalent of putting an african elephant or rhino in to the wilds of siberia.

and dogs can eat just about anything we can eat but for the LOVE OF GOD keep them away from choclate and some foods as it WILL kill them and/or make them sick......and then die
