@metalskater9 yeah :( but for now meinl mcs will have to do, another guy told me his 16 inch crash lasted for like a year and a half, and he showed no mercy on those cymbals
@metalskater9 white chapels drummer is a beast!!! but those are byzance which are the professional line and mcs are intermediate, but i have heard their still tough but they probably wont last for 3 years
i think the way you hit them is fine, sounds really clear over the camera, unlike many other video's i've watched -I'd have to say yours sound the nicest.
Yes, I only had mine for 3 months and it has a big crack in it. I think its because I played it too hard though :P I want another one just because I love the sound of it
It's an alright cymbal.. I've tested it out. Good for someone on a budget, but I recently traded in my Meinl HCS crash (I think that's like a step lower than this) for a Sabian XS20 crash which is much MUCH better.. But it still doesn't own up to my Sabian AAX stage crash
This is true. And the reason for XS20s good quality for their low price is that they are still sheet but they are made out of the same B20 as their higher end cymbals
I have this one too, it is a great cymbal but It cracked on me so what i did was make an effect cymbal out of it, but overall it's a fantastic cymbal, i recommended it to any drummer.
these cymbals are Very good for the price IMHO... i paid 210 american and got the ride crash and hats along with a filter china... i am suprised to hear how good they sound recorded.xD
@BunnyCareyTool sorry for the lateness. but I have the answer to your question. the sabian and paiste counterparts are sabian B8, and either paiste pst3 and pst5. it is closer to pst5, because it is a nice cymbal.
nice short sustain well kinda ...interesting sound sure isnt like the Byzance my nuts sweat for but again price price price nice upload man this will surely help others as they search on the net for these
@checkthatman is this cymbal durable enough to withstand a lot of hardhitting?

I'm talking about hcs kind

I'm making a full set of these.
8,10,12" splashes, 16" and 18" crashes and chinas, 14" and 13" hihats. And 20" ride.
(I got ride,16" crash, 14" hats and 12" mini china with my drums.)
In person and personally, they actually sound amazing for just 20-70 bucks. All this and 3 extra stands gonna cost like $458.
When I get real cash I'm going to make a Sabian AAX set with a rack

How different is this from the HCS 16" crash

@drummer4life2014 I'd say Sabian Xs20's... B8's are beginner cymbals

Cymbals don't crack if you have proper technique.

I have a question... is this MCS 16'' crash from the "MCS Ready Match Cymbal Set", or the MCS 16'' that is sold by itself?

@BunnyCareyTool You mean different brands but same price level? I would say B8's from Sabian and PST5 from Paiste
