i had an afghan hound it was dull a shit they are not called the least intellagent dogs for nothing LoL

Technically, Afghans are ranked as the least trainable. This is slightly different than intelligence.

See, what they don't tell you, is that Afghans are accomplished thieves and escape artists. There is not a yard made that they can't find their way out of. Likewise they are also fully capable of lifting a steak off of the grill, while the grill is still on. ( I still don't know how she pulled that one off.)

My neighbor had a "blonde" one and she just to sit in his room and stare out the window....since I'm the only blonde kid in a family of brunettes, my brother used to tell me that I was one of that dog's puppy and that they adopted me because my mother really really liked me lol :) I believed it when I was very young and used to cry so much about it...

Haha, i have an Afghan, I LOVE HER!!!And no they do fine with any age of kids, all the ones i've had have been fine with 5 year olds, older and younger!!

Being hard to train, does not mean they are dumb, They just like their freedom, and do not want to be bossed around, just like a stubborn toddler!!!! Ok stop framing them for being dumb, they were bred for freedom, to hunt on their own!!!!

@Allysha1234 haha... just like the people of Afghanistan, the dogs also want to have freedom. Their people have been fighting every super power in the history of mankind just to be free lol... Not to mention that Afghan HATE to be bossed around and the NATO forces have had enormous difficulty bringing them on their side. it's because they tried to bossed them in the beginning due to lack of experience.. they had taken them for Arabs, Pakis, or Indians hahaha
