My Vote is for Infernal Affairs,. I saw it first and loved it, Tony and Andy are huge actors in China. The actors did a better job, the plots better. Infernal Affairs 2 though is one of the best mafia/triad films ever.
I have seen both and saw the departed first but infernal affairs shits on the Hollywood shit cant even make his own material the directer claims he had never seen infernal affairs even tho scenes are exactly the same. if you new anything about film you would understand infernal is better by far... and dont look down on asians racist &*^$. and have u seen the shit Hollywood makes these days they aren't even movies idiotic movies made for idiots
Wow nice lie, Martin Scorsese knew he was making a remake of infernal affairs he got the rights and everything to do it he wouldnt be aloud to copy a movie and just say its his, he never!!! said that he didnt see infernal affairs he addmitted to watching it around 5 times, he would have too, to get everything the same. And you're right hollywood does make alot of shit movies. Im not saying Infernal Affairs is bad im just saying i like the departed more people just started swearing at me.
Obviously, more praise needs to go to the original, because, hey,it was the original;the Departed was very fathful to Infernal Affairs, and the fact that the best best scenes of the second are the best scenes of the first again gives credit to the original; But Scorsese hardly ruined it; the scenes between Wahlberg and Decaprio were gold;nothinglike that is in the original;Damon's performance was first rate;dialogue in many scenes in departed was crisper, funnier; Both great movies.
Infernal affairs is absolutely superior to The Departed. It has a perfect atmosphere, it has better actors, it has no dumb Hollyweird love triangle. The Departed is just a bastardization of IA with a lot of curse words. Apparently, that is all it takes to get an Academy Award, just take a great film, ruin it and add a lot of obscenities and get Jack Nicholson to play Jack Nicholson.

Your fucking retarted The actors are way better in the departed!! # 1 it had jack nicholson possibly one of the best actors of all time. Leonardo DiCaprio great actor Matt Damon good actor Mark Whalberg great actor martin sheen another one of the great old actors and Alec Baldwin great actor who did infernal affairs have just some asians who are average. also the departed is alot more entertaining so go fuck yourself. plus people trust the legendary martin scorsese and the ensemble cast!!!!!
i disagree with what you have to say. you live in canada, as i do to, and we are expsoed to a lot of american influences. however, i am a Chinese Canadian and i have seen both films in their respective languages, and you are being racist when u acknowledge the Chinese actors as "some asians who are average" when in fact they are Hong Kong's best actors, but I guess you wouldn't give a shit, because you're very close minded and white washed.
and don't make criticisms about another movie if you haven't seen it. When most westerners are not experienced to other cultures, they act in xenophobic and ethnocentric ways, instead of acknowledging that they are ignorant. I doubt you've seen IA.
And in my opinion, i must agree with Gaaraoftheoasis, IA is much better due to original and fantastic plot, ensemble cast, and quick shooting and storytelling.
this is the exact mentality of what westerners have toward the rest of the non-western world, or as edward said calls it, the orient. people like you look down on other races and behave so ethnocentric and racially superior. Don't be so arrogant, there are tons of good foreign films, ones that are screened and win awards at TIFF. Open your eyes, and broaden your mind man. Or you can choose to continue to living an ignorant life, while society progresses for the better. It's your choice.
Are you fucked up? As you can see these AVERAGE ASIANS that u are talking about made this movie and ha.. and for some reason hollywood tried to create another one based on THIS AVERAGE ASIAN movie... soo something doesnt it. plus dont u dare look down on asians and please oh PLEASE control your biased mind of yours. u have no right or knowledge to be making comparison.

I dont give a FUCK what you think! The Departed is so much better!! are you gonna sit there and tell me that the actors in infernal affairs are better than the ones in The Departed!! obviously your the one who doesnt have alot of "knowledge" especially about movies.
from that outburst i have tell u have some problems. The departed is so much better! are u happy now? how pathetic can u be..and i never said that IA actors were better, just show some damn respect, if there wasn't Infernal Affairs there wouldn't be The Departed. u dont have to give a fuck about what anyone thinks in your life, lets c how far that will get u in life. be happy living like that.
ppl say these things wen they can't make comebacks.. maybe u should rli grow up . but ur rite i have wasted lots of my time. plus ur wrong i wasn't trying to insult u . ur just insulting urself with that narrow mind of yours.
I first saw The Departed a while back then stumbled upon this movie a week or two ago. After watching Infernal Affairs I can safely say it blows The Departed straight out of the water. Hollywood took it and remade it into this... almost like a comedy, actually, as compared to the original. I haven't watched the sequels yet, though.
I did not know it was a triology. What I saw was one movie, which resembled the plot I already had seen in the remake, The Departed. Was the triology re-cut to make the movie? and did any scenes get removed? BTW the departed was one of my favorite movies, but mainly because of the brilliant plot. When I found out it was originally HK-made, I had to see IA and it was even better. Cool that Hollywood would take a HK movie seriously enough to make a remake though..
the Departed's scope is basically the first movie of the IA trilogy.. I think the second one was a sort of prequel and the third was a different perspective of the first / a sequel, but it's been a while .. you'd have to buy it imported from Amazon or something. (worthit, IMO)
Infernal affairs trilogy was just wayyyy superior to the Departed. Well written, great action, highly engaging, the characters had a background and the Buddist priniciples or good and evil of consequences, choice and retributions were a strong accent to the films themselves.
I know the plot because I did some Internet researching about the movies after I saw the video, but at first it was confusing, true. Just a question: what made you choose the music?
not really a trailer - although you can sort of figure out the general plot? might be confusing if you haven't seen either version of the movies. glad you liked the music! I tried to pick a fitting piece :P
IA is the best. Departed suck.

and fyi if Martin Scorcese does a remake on Infernal Affairs, it tells you something about Chinese film making. You gotta give them credit.
