David Gates is a remarkable memory in my heart and this music yet speaks to me as it did when I drove down the road in that cool '67 Pontiac all those years ago when this song, and others like it, dominated the air waves. If you're from this era, you know what I'm talking about, and can appreciate what groups like Bread, Chicago and the Eagles did for our hearts. What a great song.

My dad chose it as the song for his and my mum's first dance at their wedding, and everytime they dance together to this song, my mum (who is soooo not an emotional person) becomes emotional.. I like this version of the song way better than the studio version. David Gates sings naturally here not in Mickey Mouse falsetto. The orchestra is gone too. It's a nice rock song without the gimmicky stuff added into it.
