I doubt that they had autotune in the '80. Autotune first came out in the '90.It was created by Antares Audio Technologies and it was first released in 1997 to disguise mistakes and off-key notes but Michael rarely had off-key notes.Michael was a prime megatalented musician who first proved that he could really sing at the age of 5 in the '60 LONG TIME BEFORE AUTOTUNE even existed.You don't see him trying to sing fast like a robot in order to keep up with the rhythm of the song.
