I'm thinking this is the point in 1968 when Ringo considered leaving the band, becuse he looks pretty depressed. This viseo is great though!

This is from July 30...Ringo left the band temporarily because tempers flared during the recording session on the August 22 sessions. "Back in the USSR" was being recorded that day, but in the final product the other 3 Beatles play the drums. So in conclusion, Ringo is perfectly happy here!

Notice in this version(and the one on ANTHOLOGY 3) that Ringo starts drumming on the second verse? The story is that when they actually started the take Ringo went to the bathroom without Paul noticing and he started the song without him. Ringo sneaks back in and starts drumming just before Paul sings "And any time you feel the pain" with a little fill and it was perfect!
