  • 13337th viewer! LEEET!

  • Hello again Fireball

I have almost the same set up as you described but don't get quite the clarity, can you post you ME20 settings to compare the ones I'm using. Which I got from a site on the Internet.

    Thanks

    ps good set of vids

  • @johnderbyshire Well if you have the same setup I would say that it's maybe how you play it? I don't know. I don't remember the settings I used in this video. Where are your settings?

  • @TheFireball100

Mine is a similar set of gear, Line6 FlextoneIII set on clean, ME20 and Ibanez rg350.

    od/os type4(metal), drive - 13, tone - 42, level - 18, Mod - off, Delay - Type 2(100-700ms), Time - 47, Feedback - 18, level - 20, EQ - Low - 37, Low Mid - 32, High Mid - 14, High - 33. Produces good vol and fairly clean but not as clean as your sound still a bit distorted but passable, could I change anything? Cheers

  • @johnderbyshire I just made a private video response. Watch it here: /watch?v=jmQOt0Hm3pI

  • a liiiiitleeeeeeeeeee bit too slow

  • nice guitar and pick ups

  • @cbarrett34 Thanks! I love my Jackson.

  • Thanks a lot men. God bless

  • Could you tell me what your amp is set to? Like treble, bass, drive, etc. I can't quite get the clean high pitch sound your guitar is getting...

  • @kurokasumi Most of my sound comes from my Boss ME 20 sound. My amp is on a clean, warm channel. My tone for my Boss ME 20 is set to Metal. If you have an ME 20 then I can create a tone that will work for you. However, using only your amp, I would try giving it plenty of mid. What kind of amp are you using? Perhaps I can help you.

  • @TheFireball100

No, I'm not nearly that technical or advanced. I don't even know what a Boss ME 20 is. Or what it does. I just have an ordinary Spider III Line 6 amp 30 watt. Dials included are Drive, Bass, Mid, Treble and two dials for fancy stuff like phaser and whatnot.

My guitar is a Ibanez GIO. I don't have any pedals or anything like that, just a guitar and amp.

But any help would be very appreciated.

  • @kurokasumi A BOSS ME 20 is a guitar pedal.

Well, it's very hard to explain without being there and trying it out. The best thing to do is set all the dials at 12 o clock and play with them from there. Your ear will know the sound you are looking for. Everybody must experiment.

If you want a scooped sound great for metal that sounds deep and in the background, you will lower the mid (this is called clipping the mids).

Mid gives life to your tone, and it is good to have it in a solo tone.

  • @kurokasumi bass2 mid= 5-6 treble= max

  • nice

  • @shinkate07 thank you

  • Can you include your amp settings. I got a vox vt-30 and ive been trying to get the sound right. I have gain treble bass Mid and reverb. I also got a ton of amp models.

  • @bbpro28 I actually am getting that tone mostly from my BOSS ME-20. I just use the clean A channel, using the 11 o' clock amp setting.

  • I really learn from all your videos! Thanks a lot ! :D

  • @pjguitar15 You are welcome!

  • What is the setup for effects and ampli... U should tell that before start!!!!

  • @yeahboy2464 Do you have a BOSS ME 20? If so, I can tell you a preset that would work well with it. Every effect pedal is different, so that's why I don't normally do that. The amp is used mainly as a PA. Most of the sound comes from the pedal.

  • @TheFireball100

Thank you so much for this tutorial!, I've been looking for a proper explanation for quite awhile. Thanks for this, suscribing to you :)

  • @hyp0twink I'm so glad I could help!

  • ..

  • @deutzyann Are you speechless? =D

  • g string . lol awesome tutorial

  • what kind of thing are you useing for that sound, its just like real! please tell me!

  • @borisgozur BOSS ME 20 pedal

  • whens the next one coming out?

  • @noimjustlookin LOL i'm not for sure. i've just been really busy lately with college. I haven't forgotten about it. I keep thinking about it. *sigh* sorry, i know many people are probably looking for the next. I'll try to get it soon. ;-)

But I'm glad to know you are looking forward to it. =)
