Because a normal FJ doesn't have a exterior handle to open the rear doors, you have to open the front door to get to the handle to open the back.

They do have a four door FJ, it's called the FJ... They simply have the latch for opening the rear doors hidden inside, thus you have to open the front doors first. The feature shown in this video is a nice touch and would solve that issue without putting a exterior handle on the rear destroying the clean look.

my6 sister has a 4runner iv got an fj and a land cruiser out of the 3 i like the fj the besst...it doesnt mean its a better car the land cruiser is alot stronger, its got a v8 the frame is larger and it can tow more as for what the guy says yea both 4runners and fjs are nice but what the guy said about the fjrunner being more masculane idk how the regular fj isnt haha dont get me wrong the fj runner is nice but both 4runner and fj aren't sissy cars

Looks like a 4runner with a bunch of holes drilled in it and a FJ grill. It's different, but I really don't see any advantage over a 4runner.

I disagree with the posters knocking on the FJrunner. I think that it is the most refreshing Toyota design I have seen in years. The FJ is very uninspiring and current 4runner designs are mall runners. I own a 2nd gen 4runner and this FJRunner is the first design I've seen that I am excited about. NICE JOB MV DESIGNZ I HOPE YOU MARKET THESE COMMERCIALLY AND THAT TOYOTA PICKS UP YOUR CONCEPT FOR A PRODUCTION VEHICLE!!!!! Congratulations, this is an amazing vehicle and I want to buy one.
