@Ayman5 actually since there was only 1 detonater per boat, the outcome could be either way. People will listen blindly to authority (the one with the detonator) and they can also riot and blend with the crowd.

@varodrig123456 Yes...but to admit so would defeat the performance. This performance literally killed ledger, and this happens every single day to almost all of sentient creatures. This scene is poignant in more than context, it applies to what reality shows us on a daily basis.

Neither of them. One prisoner threw the detonator in the sea and the civilians didn't press it. Batman then took jokers detonator before he could use it
