Looks like we can now bootleg keyboards just like we bootleg cds and movies. i wonder what Korg, Roland, and Yamaha feel about this. Because really you could get a module and rip it off and take it back and get all of the sounds for free.Or simply ask friend to borrow his equipment rip it with mimik and there you go.
This Neko/Meko model is the BEST way to go. When I say best I mean if you have the 3 to 6 G to spend on it go for it! MANY top flight producers vouch for it, and choose it over ALL other options such as desktop or laptop setups running multiple hardware.
Would you BUY A NEW COMPUTER when you want more programs? If I wanted photoshop, what if I had to BUY a computer with it built in? CRAZY RIGHT? well thats what we've been doing.
THIS is what ALL of us need. REASON is the beginning of that thinking, and THIS is the hardware. Protools, and THATS IT! DONE! I am gonna buy ONLY this next. ALL of us should.
Nah man, Protools doesn't come with and anything that great, and everybody has Reason now a days, so it's sounds are getting tired. Even though I'd never buy one (I use the mpc and the fantom) I respect the fact that this shit has amazing sounds on it. TIMBALAND uses the stock sounds on this joint.
Does the Mimik software sample all the layers of the sound it's trying to mimic or just the top layer? For example you have a piano that may have 5 layers for to added velocity exppersions like wood noises and string rings. So its merely just sampling what it hears and looping it to play out.
Wow mane

Good question.
You can set the software to sample anywhere from two to 128 layers (in multiples of two).
If you have any other questions check out the forum on our website: openlabs(dot)com.
Thanks.
