This sounds exactly what happend to us!! The house we bought is a HUD home too!! We fixed it up TONS. I wish I had pictures of what ours looked like before we moved in. FHA can be a biotch!! I remember we had to scrape paint chippings off and re-paint and installed stair rails.
ugh I don't know why they have to make everything soooo difficult! HUD homes are the way to go though! We are practically going to have a brand new home for CHEAP!

I'm so excited to see what its gonna look like all done! =) sounds like april is a better time to move. Moving is such a blah process trust me u never really know how much stuff u have until u move! =) but it looks soo nice already much diff with the drywall up =)
That just gives you time to make sure that everything is finished and painted and ready to just move slowly you could start taking things to the house like the things that you do not use every day!!
