When I dance this slow it's usually when I'm just marking steps; I would lose my balance super easily if I tried doing the steps as perfectly as she does. Her complete control left me breathless. How amazing.

@ppperez I thought exactly the same thing. The beginning steps are so slow and yet she has such control. I love Agnes, she is out of this world.

This is the most beautiful Agnes Letestu I've ever seen. The beauty in the perfection. Only two minutes long! Too short, but so perfect!

Ah...there is nothing quite as lovely as watching a ballerina do a beautiful dance so well done...her control was almost perfect! I must admit i like this variation much better than the second one though they are both beautiful

Actually che coreography was made in 1992, but production was registered for this dvd in 1994! Anyway, Agnes absolutely gorgeous!!

She is at time in behind the music, true but I think she is trying to show her equilibrium. The orchestra is playing too fast, the tempo should be more brilliant perhaps andantino. This is an orchestra for ballet and the director should help the ballerina and keep the tempo as she dances. She is a a beautiful ballerina with a solid technique.

I don't understand what you're trying to say. You say that the orchestra is playing too fast, but then you say that they should be playing more brilliantly at Andantino, which is fast, too. In my opinion, I think the music is fine.

i'm sorry to put a damper on her but i don't think she is very musical even if she does have beautiful technique, she's off the music which just really annoys me and anyone who disagrees is just defending her because she has good technique. if you are a true dancer you would understand where i am coming from

yes, she finishes on the music i agree with you, but music is all to do with phrasing and using the accents and flow to take you along, it doesn't work as well if you don't do that...don't worry, i guess i am just really stern on musicality cus iv played the viola for like as long as i have danced....xx

This production of La Bayadere is so beautiful that you do not want it to end. It was the last thing that Nureyev created before passing away. What a legacy. Gorgeous, the whole ballet production is amazing!

Oh yes, I'm sure she does. Unless of course I've missed something, which for me would be highly unusual. She's my favorite dancer, and POB is my favorite company, so I follow her and them closely. Hmmm, I'll have to do some research on this. If I find anything I'll send you a message :)

Thank you very much! I really want to see a ballet performed by POB some day. Not only have they one of the greatest soloists around, but their corps de ballet is amazing too! I love POB: they strive for perfection!

Have you seen any of the DVD's that they have out now? It's not the same as live, but it's still great. Swan Lake, La Bayadere, Sleeping Beauty, Jewels, a documentary about the Etoiles, etc. They strive for perfection, and they are perfection. The Kirov too- but I prefer the french style. I'm still researching Letestu, will keep you posted.
