@jojo1ukuk I don't think people are complaining because she is black, at the end of the day she could be purple with orange welts who cares, the reason is simple, she doesn't have any dance background per se. Get Karen Hardy to judge if they want younger.

She needs to be given a chance. I think the new perspective of a former contestant/viewer is a good one. I don't necessarily think Arlene needed to be sacked but that wasn't Aleshas fault/decision.

The mistake made with the Strictly Come Dancing judging panel was that Alesha Dixon should have been added as an EXTRA judge, NOT as a replacement for Arlene Phillips. It's not too late to rectify this.

I have been a fan of Strictly for ages but was very disappointed that Arlene was sacked and Alesha Dixon appointed as a judge. I found it embarassing to watch Alesha on the programme on Saturday as she seemed out of her depth and kept talking about the dancers 'arms'. I thought she was a great contestant on the programme but, in my opinion, is awful as a judge as she simply does not have the same level of expertise as the wonderful, witty, beautiful Arlene.

You are 110% right. According to Craig, It took the origional Strictly judges a few weeks before they got their comments right.

It's not the same though. What she's judging is far more technical. Plus, the judges often criticize the pro dancers for their choreography, how can Alesha comment on anything that the pro dancers do? I like her but I think if they wanted some eye candy, they should have put one of the recent pro dancers on the panel instead. That way they'd get the pretty girl AND the expertise.
