How rude, yeah the parents'll be happy, but not the children, how would you like to be whipped? Not all children think the world owes them, sorry but I think that's a bit ignorant. Some children are very grateful for what they've got, it's people like that who think children are idiots but their not, some children are much more mature and well-manered then adults.
If I did something bad I'd get smacked and lesson was learnt and it took a few seconds and we could move on. I wasn't put on the "naughty-step" or whatever time wasting PC crap they do nowadays that works 1/10 of time. Hardly anyone has the balls to smack their kids now and I see the rotten attitudes the kids develop. Its even safer for them, if a child keeps reaching for the iron you give him a smack, it hurts far less than a burn and theres no chance of them going for it again!
my daughter pulled a stunt similar to this kid's at the hardware store last week. I snatched her ass up and yanked her pants down right there and tore her butt up. Too many kids get away with this shit. Does that make me love my child any less? Absolutely not. But the truth is- some kids need a good ass whoopin. My kid- candidate. I can face my truths. She can be the poster child for birth control and prozac sometimes and I'll be damned if she's going to go in life thinking these actions are ok.
yes, obviously kids should not be able to get away with this kind of stuff. but that's why i always explain to my little sister before we go to the store what the plan is. we make a deal about what we will get and what we won't. and she never pulls a stunt like this. but publically embarassing and humiliating a child can lead to emotional scarrs. and you may say "but she embarrassed me first" but we still need to remember who's the child and who's the adult. children's minds are more vulnerable.

I fully agree about the diet. My children are both VERY healthy eaters. I make everything from scratch including my son's baby food. We have NO sweets, NO junk food in the house (neighborhood kids never want to come over cuz we don't have 'fun' crap. LOL). I work out 3 hours a day, my daughter is VERY active in sports already and already doing math 3 years advanced. I'm old fashioned I guess. She's hyper and has her moments, but she is still more behaved than most I see. Scarred my ass.
