  • You can almost imagine the pilots thoughts. "Stick and rudder...stick and rudder...stick...AND A WHOLE LOTTA RUDDER....stick...." No wondor these guys are the best paid pilots in the air. My hats off. I can't even do this right in Flight Simulator...

  • The pilots did a phenomenal job by maintaining smooth, accurate and precise control of the rudder pedals, control column and thrust levers... GOOD JOB!

  • weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • Check out that wing flexing!

  • it's screaming ''i still want to fly'' 0:39

  • the only reason those pilots attempted that landing is coz theres only boxes out back

  • smooth landing. Very nice..

    Lots of love from Amsterdam

  • Amazing how they do this!

  • Very nice, I have a few pictures of this one at CVG

  • amazing wingflex

  • windsock, windsock 00.50

  • Пилоты молодцы!!!

  • looks like a bird moving its wings

  • Awesome video! At least with a cargo you've not got passengers to impress with a smooth landing, You can just plod it down.

  • that rudder is working over time cool vid

  • i dont think ive seen wings flex like that before, dam jellyplane!

  • bahaha this is kick A! This is my boyfriend's amazing dad flying this plane!!!!!! GO JOHN!

  • narita is always windy. hard airport

  • my god plz send to hanger to check landing gera t -pin

  • whistling engine sounds, so amazing.,

  • @uUltr19A05slaNn whistling? more like screaming!

  • The wing like a bird flying.my best aircraft forever.

  • Check those rudder inputs from 0:44 secs, amazing!

  • I really appreciate your videos Masaaki, great footage !

I subscribe, continue your great work !

    Thx for sharing :)

  • Great flim!

    Love the wing flex!!

  • i love crosswind landings, challenging the pilots when landing with 20knots of crosswind

  • holy crap, how do you put that big lady on the ground with so much crosswind ?!

  • @krikke2109 Skill, training and guts.

  • Smooth landing..

  • very nice!

  • Very good landing considering the weather!

  • Fuck that shit.

  • Wing flexing is intense..does this lead to metal fatigue?

  • @SFConifer The wings are designed to flex as such. Some fatigue does occur, but A,B,C, and D inspections are performed to find and correct any fatigue.

  • Do you know what drection the wind was and at what speed?

  • who cares)

  • @StasoNfromMoscow the computers on the 47 cant combat crosswinds like this this was all pilot input:)

  • ALS has done everything lol

  • @StasoNfromMoscow your an idiot bud a computer cannot deal with crosswinds blowing over 15 knots. my uncle flies the 747 for atlas

  • i dont know about 747 but airbus can))

  • @StasoNfromMoscow ya and airbus you have no mechanical input to the controls. and the 747 is 2 times the plane anything airbus has

  • The 747 AP is not able to land with crosswinds like this. Pilots must land it manually in conditions like this.

Airbus Autopilots neither are certified for crosswind landings. You must do it manually too.

  • no i disagree about airbus

  • Airbus: The Operations Manual will allow manual landings with up to 30 knots direct crosswind but only 15 knots for an Autopilot autoland approach. The computer cannot anticipate gusts and react fast enough. Pilots must land manually (even with an Airbus) on conditions like in this video, because that's what they are for.

  • 747-400 LAND3 Crosswind componate is 24 kts.

  • @SleepyTito

Correct - it is actually a "new plane" and not converted. That said, it is actually a -200 (with the front loading capability) and winglets - just made in the late late 80 and early-mid 90's.

  • OMFG! ...that's one of the best landings i've ever seen on YT

    Absolute precision!

  • TOO Cool!!!! Some pretty good pilots. Are you sure it's a -400 model? I know it has winglets but, the upper deck looks a bit short for it. But, I guess they could have changes for the Freighter versions. I know it's got winglets but, those are being retro fitted on a lot of aircraft these days. I agree with that other poster's comment on the wing flex. I've never seen a video with that kind of wing flex before. Also note the big rudder inputs and wing control inputs on touchdown.

  • This is a beautiful 747-200 with winglets. The nose also lifts for "front loading" capabilities - a design request by Pan Am a long time ago. Note at 0:55 on the second bounce how close the #2 (inside port or left side) engine comes to the ground!!!??? The -200 was probably the best and most beautiful 747 ever made (after the SP). Even Air Force One is a -200! Notice the wing flex coming in too. Polar Air has some of teh best pilots too. Great video.

"If it aint a Boeing, I aint going".

  • too bad we don't fly there anymore, am I off your no fly list? I'll take the salmon and sushi dinner...

  • One of the best landing clips I've ever seen. That was amazing skill by the pilot.

  • 747-400 is such a beautiful plane

  • It is actually a converted 747-200 with winglets. You can see the "hump" is not long enough and also on the -400F the nose comes completely up for "front loading". That was a design request by Pan American way back when...

  • The -400F doesn't have the stretched upper deck, but retains the original "hump".

  • great landing! Look at those wings flex!

  • Godd damn u can really see the pilot really working every flight control right around where its like at 10-30 ft above the runway!!!!!!!!

  • that awesome pilot is my dad!!! he is an amazing pilot and an even better father!!!

  • @zzsmith1 lol?

  • Scary! I thought the wings were going to hit the ground! Is it always windy at this airport or something?

  • Yeah, pretty much

  • I'm in love with those wings.

  • 0:35 awsome sound of engines screaming

  • Greased it. Damned good flying.

  • haha hell yeah!

  • yes, he made it safely!

    Nice recorded.

  • oooooooooo shit that pilots nice

  • Sweet landing

  • NICEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • Awesome video !! 5/5* + Favourite !

  • amazing !

  • Shit!! those wings were flexing like bird wings. The aircraft must be in full load with some crazy wind blowing towards it.

  • Absolutely! And seeing that it is the end of their flight, the wing tanks would be near empty, so that would allow them to flex more too. Awesome vid!

  • Fantastic

  • it kept moving left right left right

  • Comment removed

  • wow that looked scary, great landing!!!

  • that was worth $500 yen

  • To waverave93, No, that was worth 300 million USD. Which is probably like 85030300914400000390500 yen.

  • don't forget about my $500 yen.... you keep holding it hostage....

  • lol :)

  • nice to see an ex panam clipper still flying gone but not forgotten

  • niceeee

  • 90 minutes of fame JD......

  • wow that was awesome~

  • You go rockstar!

  • Now that's a difficult landing well done...

  • Obviously the pilot at the controls is a rockstar.....

  • Nice video 5*+ add in my favourite

  • thanks for the upload mate! :)

  • Dat Was Scary! Nice LanDinG (N Nice Video As Always!)

-Da Wings Were All Moving N Shaking!
