@wild50gunner Umm.. yes I have never seen anyone shot except in a screen but as far as I'm assure of that 5.56 round COULD have penetrated his kevlar I've seen a video of British Troops fighting talibans at a range of about 200-300 meters and one of their buddies got shot in the rib cage and when they removed the kevlar I saw a bullethole and a big splatter of blood inside the kevlar.. so yeah :P

@sonnytenedo rifle bullets can and usualy do pierce kevlar however they generaly don't penatrate Level 4 ceramic plates (stops 30-06 Armor piercing and below) which is what is in the vest, which is in front of a layer of level 3a kevlar (9mm SMG's and lesser threats but not knives or "sharp objects") sorry to say but the brits armor dont seem to be as protective, it is lighter and more mobile though

also some times the energy transfer from the bulet can break the skin without actual penatration
