nope. aero peek also lets you preview a single window while the others are in the state shown in the video. which i dont think viewing the dashboard does...

Well what's the point ? If you want to find one particular window, you have to see each window at once to find the right one coz they're all transparent. On Mac OS X, this feature is called Exposé and all windows are visible, not only the chosen one.

i guess they're copying osx cuz they realize that a dock-style workflow is the best way to manage a computer desktop. the old taskbar was a headache. period. and the gestures. ugh. give me a break. that is a DIRECT copy. no explanations for those. but yea, i guess they gotta go with the flow. it's just weird now that they're not in charge of that flow anymore. Apple clearly is.

yeah, I really have no problem of MS copying apple and make their OS better. Lots of ppl like me want a UI similar to OSX, but do not want to switch to OSX from Windows just for that. But what pisses me off is that MS could have done all this in Vista, they are improving the UI by copy more and more from OSX, which always makes me wondering what if OSX and Linux does not exist? like if windows is the only OS in the world?

The gestures were common in multi-touch technology that was invented before apple make any touch technologies. Linux copies everyone, Microsoft copies everyone, Mac copies everyone. P.S. the dock style blows, this is slightly less blow-ish but I prefer the taskbar, it seems they are putting more features (seeing each window independently) deeper into the GUI (now I have to hover over the program to get a list of files, rather than seeing it on the taskbar). imo
