  • "Mastering others is strength; mastering yourself is true power" I like it!

  • 2:05 MEGA EPIC TIGER STRIKE TO FACE!!!

  • Do you practice Dragon style at all?

  • @langying Yes. It is part of the TanDao system. Stay tuned for more on the dragon!

  • I WANT TO LEARN TIGER KUNG FU!!! too bad the closest school to me teaches some hybrid form called Hung gar or "tigercrane" style.

  • Brilliant work! Just as my father taught me.....

  • Cool tiger sound effects to compliment the movements!!!

  • Great and REAL master of the tiger claw no doubt !

  • Hi. I'm a girl, 13, about 124 in weight, 5'7 in height . Can I still learn tiger kung fu? Some people say I can't, because only men fight. I know I'd be at a dis vantage, but I still want to learn. Would tiger be the best style for me?

  • @TigressofBalance No one style is perfect for anyone. The idea of martial practice is to practice many principles on the course of self-development.

Each 'form' or 'style' can be used for combat, just as each 'form' and 'style' is a practice of character, both internal and external.

Your height and weight mean nothing if you love what you do and you practice frequently.

If you want to practice tiger forms of kung fu, then do it, no-one has the right to stop you.

  • @TigressofBalance You can certainly use many of the tiger forms for strengthening and power to help compliment any style. I have a tutorial on my page that shows some forms for strength and power, as well as a hung gar strengthening training with David Carradine which has some good stuff.

  • I'm decent at tiger kung fu. Do you have any pointers on how I can better my training?

  • @Warpath813 Focus on developing forearm, wrist, hand and finger strength. Without gripping power, punching is safer and more practical. To master tiger, your must eliminate all stylized motions that lack efficiency. To explore modern tiger fighting that combines Shaolin and JKD, check out our TanDao Tiger Claw video and Tiger Combat e-book. I demonstrate the training and core techniques in the video and explain the details strategy and tactics in the book. Good luck on your tiger.

  • I am currently taking JKD. I have watched many of your videos and I'm having trouble seeing where you integrated JKD theories of economy of motion. Can you perhaps share some of your expertise and shed some light on my stupidity?

  • @simonmafy Thanks for a thoughtful question. Perhaps you are trained to identify economy of motion in a standard JKD lead straight punch context. But you will discover simultaneous offensive/defensive techniques, constant forward pressure and efficiency behind my open hand, tiger, snake and crane, etc. techniques. Look again and see with new eyes. Please check out our site if you want to go deeper. Keep exploring!

  • TanDao Tiger Combat evolved from Hung gar by streamlining the style and integrating JKD theories of economy of motion and Damo Tiger Style which focuses on deception of speed. Traditional Hung is a great foundation but is updated to meet modern fighting methods.

  • Does anyone else think that tiger style resembles Hung gar?

  • I love your form. Please let me know what you think about the vid... G

  • @ANGELSGYMSINGH

Thank you. I should point out: I am not doing a prearranged tiger form. I am doing a spontaneous or impromptu spur of the moment expression of movements. This is once in a lifetime; I will never be able to repeat the sequence. Form must be first mastered and then transcended. In TanDao our ultimate goal is Dynamic Free Flow..

    Your videos are impressive!

  • i like it cuz it shows the movements of the heavy part of the hung gar,,(the tiger)

but it needs the soft (the crane) to balance it out

  • finally someone with good form. sigh.

  • sucks

  • I love the parts where you do hand to hand combat with tiger sounds!

  • to be honest these movements look powerless... and in some way weird...

however i also thought that about wing chun before i started practicing. now i understand the power within the movements.

i nearly caught myself having prejudice against this kind of art.

keep it up and avoid the haters

  • shang tsung! :D

  • i like your videos an what your doing keep up the good work

  • Good observation. Although I am expressing impromptu free flow tiger movements you can detect a Hung Gar (power) influence as well as Tamo Tiger Hand (speed and deception). TanDao Tiger Combat is a synthesis of these two styles and JKD. As a student of Hung and Wing Chun, you might appreciate TanDao strategic principles that are applicable to all styles. Thanks for your comment.

  • It looks like you are doing sections from Hung Gar forms.

  • Beautiful and Powerful!

  • I love it. So powerful yet so graceful and fluid at the same time

  • O live it. So powerful yet so graceful and fluid at the same time

I'd love to spar with you.

    Cheers, Ben.
