  • 1968, huh? It's hard to imagine that this song was written the same year as "Jumpin' Jack Flash," "In-a-Gadda-Da-Vida," and "Everybody's Got Something to Hide 'cept Me and My Monkey."

  • This is a great piece. My A Cappella group performs this and it's always a hit. I wish the recording quality were a bit better, but I can still tell that this was an excellent performance.

  • Lovely balance in this performance and a gorgeous sound from the top tenors!!!

  • You MUST check out the 1999 Yale Whiffenpoofs! They are definately BWE!!!

    "Best Whiffs Ever!"

  • Not to sound like a 20 year old child, but this is definitely not the, "Time After Time" I expected!

  • LOL! cindy lauper's time after time, I'm assuming?

  • I'm teasing Bulldog - sheesh! as was evidenced from my use of the term "Oh snap" - the group sounds great. Sorry to offend the holy Poofters.

  • pretty cool - we used to sing this song at Wesleyan too - and while we may not have been as tight - we didn't need to take a year off - OH SNAP! lol great stuff.

  • The reason you didn't need to take a year off is because your group didn't have as demanding a commitment as the Whiffs do. They travel and perform more frequently than any other college a cappella group. Besides, it is actually the exception, not the norm, that a Whiff takes a year off.

  • The Whiffenpoofs should be a warm-up act for Hanson. It would be an interesting show.

  • One of the greatest love songs ever written. The sentiment rings truer today than the first time I heard it in 1988.

  • Just because they stick to what is classic and loved by years of audiences (they started in 1909) doesn't mean they need to loosen up. So much of them is traditional.

  • Does anyone know where this song comes from?

  • Someone told me that it was written by a Yale student a number of years ago.

  • . Robert "Pitchpipe" Birge '68 wrote and arranged "Time After Time" while he was an undergraduate; unknown to him, the song had become a Whiff classic, sung by every group since he graduated

  • I saw the Whiffenpoofs in Cincinnati in 2007 at Summit Country Day School (Cincinnati). Truly enjoyable evening!

  • mind telling me where can i get da cd of this choir group?

  • You need to go to the Whiff web site, which tightly controls all Whiff content, but they're worth it!
