  • oh so we all die if they decide they want to poison us!

  • U.S govern JUST FOOL...THEY DONT UNDERSTAND the meaning of food..

  • I am a retired cop, I want to ban all of these people selling food, if people want to eat they must eat at the restaurants provided i.e. mcdonalds, kfc and macys

  • @Jimmyretired you're an idiot

  • i learned a new fact from this video. bangladesh and pakistan are in the middle east.

  • i love this video

  • NY wouldn't be the same without street food vendors! I love NY and the awesome street food!

  • do you know that it's LEGAL for women to go TOPLESS in NYC, as long as it's not for business purposes.

imagine the subway rides in the morning.

  • yeaaahh!!! i want to save some money and fly to new york and find all the vendors and buy a lot of hot dogs!!! try the american real pop corn and take a picture at the famous street while eat the southern america pie's!!!!!!! thats one of my wish list~!!!!

  • What a lost opportunity by the residents of New York to bring the world to them and learn more about different cultures and foods.

  • boring!!! I want to see the food and learn about the culture not hear about how cops bully street vendors.

  • Pure capitalism dictatorship, where big businesses (sharks) don't leave space for small fishes to swim near by. Capitalism is on the verge now.

  • england is shit im moving.....

  • THERE IS NO WAY MANHATTAN HAS ABOUT NINE MILLION PEOPLE. AND THEREFORE MANHATTAN IS NOT THE NEW YORK CITY. IT IS PART OF THE NEW YORK CITY. OFFICIALLY SPEAKING, NEW YORK CITY IS CONSIST OF FIVE COUNTIES BROOKLYN, MANHATTAN, QUEENS, STATEN ISLAND, AND THE BRONX.

  • ONE THING I DO NOT UNDERSTAND IS ALMOST ALL PEOPLE SAY THIS, I AM GOING TO THE CITY WHEN HE OR SHE IS AT BROOKLYN, QUEENS , BRONX, OR AT STATEN ISLAND. HE OR SHE MEANT TO GO TO MANHATTAN. BUT YOU ARE IN THE CITY ALREADY IF YOU ARE IN THE BRONX , QUEENS, BROOKLYN, OR STATEN ISLAND, AND WHEN THEY SAID NEW YORK CITY HAS ABOUT 9 MILLION PEOPLE, THEN THIS IS WRONG. MANHATTAN ONLY HAVE A LITTLE OVER 2 MILLION PEOPLE. I FIND MOST PEOPLE DO NOT EVEN UNDERSTAND WHAT COUNTIES ARE CONSIST OF NEW YORK CITY.

  • I hate living in Georgia.

We dont anything like this down here.

    I'm moving.

  • @BabyGirlGoddess where too?

  • @123nypd

    lol. I don't really know yet :/

I guess it depends on where I can find a job.

  • new york street food is disgusting. its ok smelling if u walk by but damn dont eat it.

  • @Love4SK Why not ? You have the wrong mind set. Is it because you think the food is not "sterile" enough? I mean, people in other country's eat food that is prepared much of the same way. The street food is quite delicious.

  • Guyss , Are the hotdog's from new york really awesome as they say it is?

  • @mcwail007 No, go to Grey's Papaya's on 72nd street near the 2 train on the upper west side. Its not a street vendor location but its the best hotdog in the city I've had. - new yorker

  • really

  • really

  • if you go to new york these people are everywhere! different types of food on every street, the air smells so sweet and has a destinct smell to everything, great.!

  • is this reall the Al Queda youtube channel?

  • @WTFuRdum Are you retarded? It's Al Jazeera not Al Qaeda.

  • i like homemade food

  • sounds like new york authorities just don't like vendors and want to pick on them for every little nitpicking thing

  • A KNIFE A FORK A BOTTLE AND CORK THATS THE WAY WE SPELL NEW YORK!!!

  • do the vendors pay taxes? If they do, what's the problem if it's a part of NY atmosphere

  • Is it just me or does that guy name Sean look like Christian Bale

  • NYC is the biggest Police State city in the world. The US has lost about 9 Billion dollars in tourism because foreigners refuse to come here. It's fuckin disgusting how the rich rule the poor here.

  • WTF??? A man/woman handshake within a mosque?? Is that even allowed?? Oh and power to Sean Basinski and his action group 'Street Justice' !!!

  • hot dog are made of pigeons the famous flying rats

  • I am amazed by this "new world" in Manhattan. I really feel for these people. I will never look at a street vendor the same way ever again.

  • So this is why street food is impossible to find in America. I had no idea. Very interesting. It all makes sense, politics.

  • I once ate at a 5 star restaurant in Chicago. No thank you..I rather eat at any of those venders instead. That food is wonderful.

  • But Chicago vienna dogs are better.

  • Damn cornell and columbia

  • Tip: if you buy a hot dog on the street, always get one from the rollers, NEVER from the water.

  • but the one from something papaya was yummy

  • i miss street food from new york

  • Check out my food channel with videos about NYC! :)

  • @ 02:30, Dang! maybe I should start selling hot dogs.

  • fuck guliani!

  • @DRDNIBOY Yeah he is a fucker

  • corpse munchers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Go veg!!!!!

  • NYC is obviously overregulated. Typical for a city run by busy-body politicians.

  • In Toronto canada we have none of this... only a handful of hotdogs we're still trying to catch up with the rest of the civilized industrial world.. we tend to HATE new ideas & progressive concepts here

  • @jinchodemierda yeah I know it sucks there!!!!!!Its soooo stupid. Thats why i hate it there!!

  • I wish my city had more of this.

  • New York City is a Filthy Police State. NYPD fucks with everybody.

  • It is, it has too many rules. If unions are so strong there, then why do working people suffer? It makes no sense.

  • @gli96187

they also keep you from getting killed on the streets, ya know.

  • i go to NYC muderfucker haha

  • Theres always fuckin people in every city in every country in the world that want to sterilize it and try and ruin it for everyone.

Leave the street vendors alone !

  • @calsonick YEAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!YOU ARE RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!CONGRATS.

  • 9 million people? BS! that's what they said 16 yrs ago. The city's more crowded than ever and riding the train is like being in a can of sardines...

  • @trailofcrumbs

it's not so bad. i very rarely have to actually stand in a crowd of people on the train. i guess it depends on where you work.

  • Comment removed

  • Fat americans go eat your big mac

  • It all depends on who you are buying it from. Some of these guys recycle food like tire companies recycle rubber.

But it sure as hell beats going to Friday's in Time Square and paying 9 bucks for a bottle of domestic beer.

If you want to know where to go for a reasonably priced beer and sandwich asked the Police Officers. They are some of the greatest guys to know, and they know practically every great place in Manhattan that is more neigborhood oriented than tourist oriented.

  • lol it's the same in vancouver!! the police officers know where the good food is. i have respect for what they do, but there are more than a few bad apples here.

  • @BoomerNavy70 good idea, I'll remember that next time I visit

  • 2:40 is what makes America great. Sadly, it's also what a lot of Americans just don't understand: education is everything. If you didn't go to a top school, you need to do everything you can to get your children into one.

  • @yossarian9

all those universities he said are craps

  • nice video. those government guys want to destroy it tho

  • I love this tour of Foods and different types of cultures involved thanks!

  • I LOVE it too.

  • omg you're right. that's their master plan. to fund terrorism by selling chicken shawerma at time square. do you even listen to yourself when you talk?

  • i think police is strict with those guys, because management of new york govt, dont want new york street to be convert into dirty market "bazar"

  • Best empanadas everrrrrrrr

    Fordham rd. by Jimmys/X-Bar

  • whats "empanadas"?

  • hmmm imagine a spanish fried verson of a perogie....but filled with meat or cheese instead of potatoes

  • OMG!

    i gotta try it!

  • lol its life changing....enjoy!!!!!

  • @MRAWESOME1337 yummy they're kinda like dumplings filled with different delish food inside , gotta try it

  • what a bunch of litigious assholes picking on street vendors, they rock nothing like a cheap delicious meal on the run

  • Damm I wanna be there so bad

  • 8:52 I work on that block right next to that street cart in a city building. That silver cart makes one of the best fruit shakes.

  • i just had sex :) - yay , go me !!!!

  • with yourself.

  • go get aids you fuckin slut

  • tatz wassup...can i go next

  • fuck new york , a bunch of racists ,,its a hot dog for crying out loud !!

  • I have a very very very beautiful fomily..LOL

  • i just realize each with the same title is not pattern objectively, they need to report the food, taste only.

  • crackhead peyton manning on you tube now showing

  • I bet it smells like the fair on every corner

  • Oh....!!! New York The City that never sleeps....

  • fucken cops again...

  • Are there any street vendors that are not muslims? lol

  • Actually, street food and vendors spice up New York and other cities. There is a new taste of food and countries on another corner.

  • 7-14k a year?

try fukin 75-110k + per yr in cash where u declare u make balls.

good survey they must've been looking at tax statements for the dumbass IRS

as far as that truck its a public street noone can do anythign except fight and eventually the city will just close down the street to anyone.

muslims have taken over the business because the previous vendors namely greeks have moved on to better work so its the muslims who are moving in with their pismati rice and crap.

  • ha yeah true that

that 1 guy even said he paid for his 3 sons to go to universities like columbia. you dont do that on 7-15k a year...can barely survive on that especially in NY.

  • dirty hotdog water

  • wouldnt have it any other way

  • Vendor enforcement!

why are they targeting vendors in particular?

Seriously did u ask that? retard.

  • @6:31 the guy having evil thoughts of revenge...LMAO

  • Its so sad that they are harassed like this...

  • me surprise see america not as evil as our government told me. everything is possible to earn money new york and people enjoys many freedom religion and speech.

  • the government eats up business, they put thousands of regulations, fines, and fees.

  • had a hot dog in Manhattan it was horrible, disappointed

  • @MimosaFun

Get one with the right toppings.

also, go to Grey's Papaya, or another hot dog specializing restaurant. not just pushcarts

  • @passiveMenis I did and it was yummmmy :)

  • @MimosaFun only tourists eat hot dogs from street vendors. You have to go to gray's papaya or papaya king for a real NY hot dog.

  • @ceelo4 I thought I'd give the street vendors a try since I love the ones from LA street vendors, but I also tried papaya king and that was delish !

  • @MimosaFun you can't expect to go to a random hotdog stand in Manhattan and expect it to be great. That's like going to Philly, stopping by a random cheesesteak place and expecting it to be the best you ever had.

  • @MimosaFun you had dirty water hot dog?

    only tourists by those!

  • @JokiBroki I love LA street vendor hot dogs, so I thought I'd give NY a try but was disappointed, I had one from Papaya King and that was yummy !

  • thats when the mafia comes in to play

  • Its sad, the Street Food Vendors, and Street food artists are what make New York so exciting. Yet they are treated like Criminals.

  • Law are made for the Rich ..............

  • studies have shown that people who wear gloves have more germs on their hands, because they can't feel their hands and thus are less likely to wash them for a very long long time, anyone working in the food industry knows how necessary (for personal cleanliness as well) to wash their hands frequently, plus - it also just feels uncomfortable

  • I am SICK&TIRED of seeing """"BIGMELS"""" face in the response videos

  • what does that even mean

  • Wrong. It's the head.

  • my dad helped make this fiom, :P

  • ammmmm<<<<

  • good try>>>

  • Typical government- laws are arbitrarily enforced. A thousand dollar fine because the person CLAIMED they were nine feet and nine feet back. Give me a break. Anyone who deals with gov't bureaucracy knows it's bs. Support the vendors.

  • very little are those politicians who do what they believe in, most of them are puppets of the bilderberg group! america wake up, what you see on television is just a distraction of the truth, the real decisions come from the bilderberg group, a group build from the wealthiest people on this planet, so called elites. the politicians just obey their orders. the corporate media is part of them and that is why we know nothing a bout them. look it up and make your opinion!

  • Cornell, Columbia- that's $130,000 each! That "A-rab scum" could buy and sell your fat American ass.

  • The depth of the reporting on this story is something we used to have in the usa. I'm glad for AlJazerra. very informative.

  • I agree!

  • They don't have health coverage or any other help from the government. Welcome to America! People get hit with tickets and they have to pay large sums of money. Well if they are searching for Democracy they are screwed because America abandoned Democracy. America is no longer a republic. And if America supports your governments your screwed. Dictators are established for the Imperials growth and stability to survive. That is what capatilism is all about expansion. Welcome to America!

  • That guy is talking about Codes and ethnics like its a religion. Well he is right but the only thing wrong about his story. Is that half of the people don't know the recent laws they create. Since America has so many new laws for everyone and everything. And when they say hey did you know that you broke the law. Its to late they smacked you with a fine. Talk about the land of the free and opportunity. Bullshit.

  • That does it!

From now on, I'm mostly going to use street vendors!

NYC is always trolling for revenue - That's why you can't own a car here: Too many tickets, (most of which are B.S.)

  • Ha! It was this day or next, I did go out in Mid town and have some spicy street vendor food!

It's the best! (Well, I am partial to spicy foods)

  • 3:30am - NYC is creepy as hundreds of vendors drive their carts 15mph behind trucks around town

I don't know where they are driving too - But there they are all over town in the middle of the night going somewhere

  • yea, many of the street vendors are muslim?

yet, america is less than one percent muslim?

lol, they all must be around new york i bet :)

i like ethnic food, kabobs and mangos

but i dont eat vendor food for all we know the guy could have taken a piss in the hotdog water..im sure there are sick people out there!!!

and i will take a kabob anyday over a mushy burrito...that could be rat meat too lol

  • And yet most doctors, lawyers and bankers are Jewish

  • do you actually know that??

none of my doctors or lawyers were jews.

as a matter a fact most of them were catholic!

Why do stupid idiots like you assume that their jews??

  • Let me guess - You live in the country?

    Perhaps rural Illinois?

I say it as a physician in New York - Was same way in Chicago

Statistically, though Jews represent only 2% of USA, they represent a far far greater proportion of Docs & Lawyers

While in NYC, most cabbies and side walk meat vendors are Middle Eastern

These are facts - What they mean is beyond the scope of my post

  • Actually less than 1% of America is Jewish, Muslim, and Buddist. Not 2% :]

Jews were historically Doctors and especially Lawyers and Bankers because in Europe the Catholic Church didn't allow christians to loan money to other christians (it was an evil & dirty trade) lol

  • These side walk food vendors are first generation immigrants who didnt have much education and could barely speak English. Their children are the ones who will become doctors, lawyers and businessmen like those of Mr. Ali's from Tehran.

  • i agree and she didn't even do that good of a job...lol

you could still see a ton of it?

  • Pretty sad that big business wants to stomp out the street vendors. They've done it to small business and now these folks. Corporate greed sickens me.

  • Where are the gloves, guys? I resist street food if I can. The food could be outta date and the guys don't keep their hands clean.

  • I notice that in most business areas the vendors will wear gloves but up by Columbian Presbyterian hospital they will only put it on when the cop is there. As soon as the cop goes they take the gloves off. Also check out the show "Busted on the Job" Where the street vendor goes to the bathroom on the street and then comes back to the cart. He doesn't wipe his hands or put on gloves. He dips the same hand he used to shake himself and put it in the food.

  • @MSGOODBAR

same fingers that picked their noses too...

  • tough life

  • they should find a different spot those Jordanians. I wouldn't eat street food anyway. if it's not organic it's usually about the same as eating leather nowadays.

  • Yep basically

  • @x11115 There are plenty of food trucks in nyc now offering better food than cart vendors.

The cart vendors may not be happy about the trucks "taking" their business but hey it's a healthy competition besides nobody owns the streets....

Make the food better and you'll get more customers
