  • Q: Why does the Christian pastor reject all of the Jewish law EXCEPT tithing? A: Because tithing is profitable. It's all about the money! Where is "the storehouse of the Lord" in the modern church?

  • it is not about whether a person is titheing or not. the question is whether there is biblical support for a christian to tithe? there is not one shred of evidence for tithing.

  • Exodus Chapter 20:Vers.17 the tenth commandment: Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.

  • @renita1239

"if you didn't tithe you couldn't serve in the church, and if you needed help they would check the records."

It's funny how many people have no moral qualms with the government screening your income for a percentage to take thus qualify you for representation, but find it reprehensible that a church that you're not forced to attend do anything similar.

It's more offensive that someone think they can just show up and dictate the direction of the church to those who've tithed heavily.

  • @TheJediCharles - what other commands from the old testament do you keep? Not many right? You can't buy your salvation. The average christian passes the starving man on the street to go to the chuch to "tithe" so he can help the pastor get a better car and a bigger house. Stop giving to those that already have, and start giving to those that are really in need. Yep the chuch has become big business and yes if you want to belong to it, you must pay your "dues" to be a memeber of that club.

  • @only1chance1

You see that spot over there? Way over there? That's what you said.

See this other spot way over here? No, not that one. Waaay over. Yeah, that's it. That's my point.

Too bad they were no where near each other.

  • @TheJediCharles - go watch your daughters teeth grow....

  • @only1chance1

You have like "off topic" turrets or something.

  • hehehehe lol!!! something like this video happen to he!!! but now i understand more then befor....i do believe in tithe...

  • Tithing always has been and always will be FOOD not MONEY!!!!! And yes money was readily available in the Old Testament under the Law. The tithing doctrine that is being taught by preachers today is an absolute LIE!!!

  • @oneeye9426 you are so correct. The purpose of tithing was two fold, it is your increase. Keyword, increase. Not everything. It is 10% of how much you gained. The other thing is that it was mainly to feed the people. Offerings was for ministry and temple work. What sense does it make when a tithe is to feed the widow, if the widow needs to tithe as well. If you are poor, and at the end of the year you are no further ahead, you have zero increase, and thus should owe nothing.

  • "For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes" Romans 10:4

Learn the meaning of the word Grace.

  • For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes

Romans 10:4 Learn the meaning of the word Grace.

  • Galatians 2:16 -yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified.

Colossians 2:14 -having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. It is finished!

  • Galatians 3:13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree”—

Galatians 3:14 -so that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promised Spirit through faith.

Matthew 23:23 was one time that Jesus said to tiithe but since he had not gone to the Cross to fulffill the law the Old Covenant was still in effect .

    Jesus is our Grace Period!

  • @NotFlaking Did Jesus really fulfill the whole Law? Are you sure about that? If He did, in what was it fulfilled? Was He a woman? Was He a priest? Was He a High Priest or King? Sure, He is those things now, but was He when He lived 'under' the Law? By the way, that phrase is a way of discussing the penalty of sin...something He took on for us, which is why Paul can say we don't have to deal with the Curse of the Law.

  • very sad that we are so confident in our understanding of the word that we make fun of it! ever stop to think of having to answer to Jesus at the Judgment seat for coming to a conclusion that has held many people back! Jesus said "yes you should tithe" matt. 23.23, just don't make it the most important deal! the notion that tithe is the old covent is a cop out for greedy people and those who refuse to submit! Why is it that we should still pay taxes and not tithe? its only hard to understand

  • Jesus said, concerning the tithe in Matthew 23:23..

"You should tithe, yes, but do not neglect the more important things." So Jesus, even though he was correcting the pharisees here... stood up for the tithe.

  • @Shortsheep1967 The new law cannot go fourth until the old has passed and once the death of Jesus happened It is the start of the NEW covenant. Please read hebrews.

  • I love this video! 2 Cor. 9:7 brother. Still laughing!!! :)

  • Tithing was strictly for Old Testament saints ONLY! The Early Church didn't tithe!

They gave free-will offerings as they "purposed in their hearts" and as they were lead by the Spirit. So let's keep it New Covenant (Galatians 3:23-26).

  • The curse is not tithing. The curse was not willing to tithe. Christ came to remove that curse.

The Lord himself said it was a blessing to sow your tithes to reap a bountiful harvest. Read that chapter again.

"Telling people they are going to be under a curse for not tithing." Wrong answer, I agree.

Telling people they are under a curse is why they cant tithe, is the right answer.

Not going to be cursed, is cursed for not being able or willing to tithe.

  • All i have to say to anyone sucker who thinks they have to tithe or preachers who make them feel bad for not tithing.....is do more studying on your own and do not listen to these thieves. read mark 6:8. what did christ tell his disciples to do. he didnt say go preach the word and built churches and collect money. THE WORD OF THE MOST HIGH......IS FREEEEE!!!!! WAKE UP PPL. STOP FUNDING THESE PIMPS. THEY ARE DEVILS. Tell ur preacher u will give 10% when u see him put in his 10%. ha ha ha ha.

  • MY COMMENT WAS TO ELOHIMGODS33

  • The beautiful thing about tithing is that once you have turned your life over to God and you are sanctified God gives you the GIFT of giving and sometimes the spirit may lead you to give clothes to the lady on the street. It is not always money and not always giving to a church. You could be lead to give a house to a homeless person. My sister gave away everything she owed-then God blessed her with a paid for house and car. so we must stop defining tithe as money because your 1st tithe is you.

  • Wonderful video! Funny and accurate.

  • You should give to the people of God because God has put it on your heart. I have no problem with people who give with this motive, but don't give a tithe thinking God will open up the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing. That scripture is TAKEN OUT OF CONTEXT TO KEEP YOUR CASH COMING and COMPEL YOU TO GIVE. Don't fall for it saints!

  • Mandating a tithe for new testament believers is NOT BIBLICAL. Tithing was instituted for the Old Testament Israel to support the Levitical Priesthood. The storehouse is NOT your local church! God was speaking to "Oh descendants of Jacob" in Malachi 3 NOT TO NT BELIEVERS!

    2 Corinthians 9:7

Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Read 2 Cor 8 and read about the REAL MOTIVES to give to the people of God

  • You are right and the thing is ppl dont understand is that tithing back then was NOT 10% of money. Some of these pulpit pimps are just wolves in sheeps clothing to ask ppl to give and make them think they will get back money. Ppl are such suckers because they dont know how to read on their own.

  • Tithes were only for ancient Israelites. And one of the purposes of the tithe was to have a BIG party once a year with gluttony and booze! Deuteronomy 14:26 And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul LUSTETH after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for WINE, or for STRONG DRINK, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the LORD thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household Party on, brothers!
  • Its not giving to god, its giving to men. if you like tithing give to the poor, or a charity for the poor. your tithing will be better spent there.

  • tithing at that time was given to the levitical priest and it was NOT 10% of money that was being given. Ppl twist that scripture so these pulpit pimps can get rich off of ppl. when it says, to give Yah his tributes that means to do his will. Keep his laws and commandments. Its not talking about giving him money. matthews 17:24-27 has nothing to do with tithing. matthew 22:15-22 was talking about taxes. nothing to do with tithing. do more studying.

  • rob213m:lol.i did studied more and i was wrong tithing is not for the church,i have alot of scripture that i gather.i was deceived by this false teaching of tithing.i stop tithing 2 weeks ago.i praise the LORD i am set free from that false teaching.i know that in the old testament tithes was'nt never money, but seeds, fruit and produces of the land.i give according to 2 corinthian 8& 9 chapter and acts 4 chapter.i been giving more since i stop tithing and i feel good.GOD BLESS

  • Shalom. Well praise Yah he has helped u to see how these pulpit pimps work. Nothing wrong to give or to help ppl out, but don't fund these churches pockets. Help the needy give to the poor and when u do, do all things with charity. Yah bless.

  • rob213m:praise ELOHIM. i hear you.these pastor always use malachi 3 chapter to scare people, you are curse with a curse,in galation 3:13 YAHUSHUA redeemed us from the curse of the law and being made a curse for us.i will take your advise brother.SHALOM

  • If you wish to live out your faith under the old covenant, go right ahead.

  • And i've seen 2many people get a no tithe revelation and almost lose it all afterward wondering what happened.when what happened is you prospreed got greedy didn't support Gods ministry finacially. They suffered loss because of there greed.

  • ...you a so called christian but you don't support the care of Gods work.If God's ministry can't get ahead then you won't get ahead financially basically a righteuos biblical principle.

  • Wow this is amazing.there is no excuse for not tithing.God says give and I'll give it back to you.Ten percent doesn't compare to the saints giving all there money in the book of acts and we complain about giving a tenth.I'm one of the lest materialistic people you will ever meet, now that I'm o n the finance comittee i see the need for tithing its not to lace the pastorspocket it's so that there may be meet in the lords house.how can you do outreach pay for light bills if everyone just given ..

  • To give to Yah is to give him praise and to do his will by keeping his laws and commandments. Its not giving him money. No where does it say give him money. Tithing was for the levitical priest. Where does it say to give to pastors for light bills. christ told his disciples to take nothing with them to preach the word. mark 6:8. it doesnt cost money to learn the word. they are wolves in sheeps clothing. do more studying. u want to give, then give to the poor. that is fine to do.

  • Yeah....that sounds like a church I used to go to here in San Antonio. It's called Cornerstone, and the pastor is John Hagee. He always makes people to hold up their money in church before the collection plate is passed. And you have to become a tither before you can serve in the church. Rick Warren's church in California has strict rules about becoming a member and tithing is one of them. This guy is making millions off of his books, and rubbing shoulders with politicians.

  • ha ha ha ha heeee heeee

  • ha ha!

  • Pastors use Malachi 3:8 to guilt the flock into giving. But I know scores of people who could NOT afford 10% and they still give. They were always juggling their bills. The churches are getting rich by givers. And I have seen people struggle financially and they always say "The Lord will Provide" 2 cor 8:12 12 For if there is a ready mind, a man will have God's approval in the measure of what he has, and not of what he has not.Dear Christians.. u cant afford? Give what you can.20.00 is fine.

  • I went through the same thing. If you didn't tithe you couldn't be a leader in the church. When I became an assistant pastor. The "senior" pastor would never disclose the budget. I eventually left for that reason as well as other important reasons.

  • You are quite correct. This was actually based on a true story!

  • Wow.

  • I really commend the many videos of this group. Through presentations that hardly resemble parodies, they nail the abuses and sacred cows of institutional Christianity that we partake of unquestioningly.

  • RIGHT!

  • Amen. ;]

  • In the very first sentence it states that it is to Israel. The old testament prophets spoke to believers. What about the heart condition of the believer who offers defile food on the altar in verse 6. Jacob who came to know Yeshua took on the name Israel. Today those who believe are spiritual Israel.

  • I have lived both ways and I will never go back to withholding the tithe. It is a struggle and I believe it is meant to deepen our relationship with Christ. Tithing is about your heart condition and trusting Jesus.

  • that type of giving is incorrect and misleading, check my video on "true giving" and you will find freedom! not legalism....take care!

  • I think this video is so wrong in how they depict preachers and the church. Yes there are some hypocrits that manipulate people. Jesus dealt with those people when he was on the earth. Jesus spoke about laying up treasures in heaven not here on earth. God looks at a persons heart and knows what his intentions are when he is giving. In Malachi 3:10 we are told to test God in this matter. This is the only place we are told to test him.

  • Ok I know this is a Joke.

  • LOL

Notice how the preachers took the money for themselves. lol

Sinners don't tithe, yet their businesses are propering more and more.

Most christians tithe, yet they're still broke, sick and living in lack and credit card debt.

    Do the math.

  • Meant to say "Prospering".

  • A lesson in acting is what's needed here. Tithe afterwards.

  • Church is when Christ and his people come together. Period.

Any size, even 2 or 3 "in his name" (his nature, character, spirit) will do.

Live generously as a way of life, and take the journey of life with other believers seeking after his Heart.

It's all there in the Word.

  • And we're all in "full-time" ministry under God.

Paul was the essential Christian teacher of the New Testament church... and he had a day job as a tent maker to pay his living expenses.

No does it anywhere say anything about presenting a message to the same group of people, in the same place, at the same time, each and every week.

Neither Jesus, his disciples nor the apostle Paul do this or tell us to, so why is all this considered essential today?

  • The temple of the holy Spirit in the New Testament is the believers hearts, and their is no longer a special building with a special staff. The New Testament emphasizes the priesthood of all believers and the body of Christ as a whole sharing with "one another."

There is no tithe in the New Testament or the Church of the bible.

No building is called for, so no bills that need to be payed.

  • Giving and sharing are the things the New Testament emphasizes. In the old testament the Isrealite's government was a theocracy and religious, therefore the tithe was their equavilent of a tax. It also went to pay the priests in the temple.

That's the Old Covenant. With the New Covenenat, Jesus died on the cross and now God's presence is no longer limited to a special place in a physical location (the temple).

  • This is funny!!!

  • That was great!!!! hahahahahaha

  • TRUE!

  • yep.
