  • So helpful! Thank you :)

  • I had to search 40 min to find this vid was the best for me. the other vids made me confuse more. thank you so much lovely people.

  • i just to ask if the egg soak into the corn syrup is same with the egg soak in the water i mean egg without shell?thank you. . .

  • @agetrojay consider the isotonic egg to be without a shell like the others, but of the same size

    hope that helps :s

  • very cool! i am doing a science expeirement on osmosis and this helped alot!

  • this is the best explanation ive seen

  • Ummm, so i guess we shouldnt bathe in corn syrup?

  • someone help me

my teacher asked if the egg was a cell or if it was multi cellular

  • @TheMonkey96b it would be multicellular

  • @kenezell thx

  • Cool

  • thankyou very much for explaining this to us, it has helped me understand it so much better.

  • This is a nice experiment; it's obvious how much water has left the egg submerged in corn syrup and how much water has entered the egg submerged in distilled water. This is a hard topic to teach and/or understrand, and the visual helps a lot..

  • this was a cracking video and i learnd

  • this was c

  • this really helped me alot!

  • lol, 5 days wearing same shirt xD

  • This video is great...it breaks it down perfect. THANKS!!

  • you know if someone injected water into your body. your cells will be in a HYPOTONIC situation. your cells will swell up and BRUST! thus causing death. same goes to the hypertonic situation. your cells will die off. thus causing death too.

  • hahaha i get it i get it :))

  • Dr robin hood?:D

  • Holy shite, I finally get it. Osmosis is simply diffusion of water.

  • u got a bad teacher

  • Ok, Einstein. So osmosis isn't diffusion of water?

  • to a semi permiable cell but now u got it meaning ur teacher cant explain well

  • thankyou for this i'm doing gcse biology and it helped me understand osmosis, and whenever i forget i watch it again. thankyou for making it make sense better than textbooks :)

  • Thank u for this video. It was very informative.

  • We just got done learning about osmosis, diffusion, hypotonic solutions, hypertonic solutions, isotonic solutions, and equilbrium. Phew ... that was long ... Anyway, our last chapter was all about Histology. I did finally understand all the processes, and the solute of a solution, but this is the first example I've seen. Thank you. It was very interesting ...

  • Thanks guys

  • This is too slow.

  • we did this in science and im doing the lab report now!

    ew!

  • omg I am so doing this with my balls!

  • this wasnt fun

  • lol i under stand that lesson now LOLOLOL ty guys you are great cuz our noob teacher just sucks,,when i asked him what osmosis means he said"why so smart?"he sucks any way...

  • thanks

    helped my proj!

  • "he didnt change his shirt in five days."

    Hahahahaha

    These ecentric academic types eh?

He still pulled however, even if she is a les dawson-esque, crack-eyed, cue-card reading trunter.

  • Thanks. Osmosis and Diffusion were confusing me in Biology.

  • awesome got some good info for my project

  • Thanks for this vid:)

  • Thank you so much for putting this up! I was getting really, REALLY confused in my biology class, but now I understand. Thanks again!

  • It's great to have this information available in internet. After seen this practical example I can say I understand how osmosis happens in cells. Excellent, I hope they have more examples like for hydrostatic pressure, filtration, and active transport system.

  • he didnt change his shirt in five days.

  • My science teacher did this once but it was really funny because for several days she kept putting the same egg ramdomlu in different stuff. One day she took it out dropped it and then instead of bursting it bounced right back into her hand! we all had a turn at using it as a bouncy ball lol.And then a girl with sharp fingernails burst it.

  • Sharp fingernail girls always spoils the fun. What's up with that?

  • ah great work. I had to just write up a 15 page essay on osmosis. This would have saed me alot of reading lol. Good easy prac aswell !

  • I thought y'all did a great job on explaining osmosis with that experiment.

  • What I want to know, is how the eggs would taste after the experiment? Cool video.

  • im doing this lab at my school xD

  • kool
