nice remix, but at the expense of my personal favorite lines from the original, "Feed your head with all the things you need when you're hungry, and stay in bed and sleep all day as long as it's Sunday". Some of the most positive lines, some of the most important words I needed to hear at a crucial point in my life.
Has anyone compared the version on the soundtrack with the version on "D'You Know What I Mean?" and "The Masterplan"? They're all 5:06. What's the likelihood of a remix being exactly the same duration as the original recording? My 2 cents...the version here sounds like the original but 10x shittier because of youtube's sound quality.
A remix doesn't always mean making songs sound completely different and/or shorter or longer, sometimes the goal is how the way the elements in the track are mixed...some are louder, some are quieter, some bits are added, some are taken away... and yet the two tracks can have the exact same length. We are just used to the way remix has been abused by hip/hop and dance acts these days that make their remixes totally different sounding and change track lengths.
This is a good version, faster etc. But it's been mixed to satisfy US audiences, and lets face it, Noel has had a secret ambition to try and crack america - building Oasis themed hotels, lending his tracks to US TV adverts (Hung in a bad place was used to advertise womens underwear and Sitting here in silence on my own was used to advertise a greif counselling service in New York) - and Oasis songs will soon appear in the new masters of the universe movies which is still in production. Go Noel.
The new Master Of The Universe has got a darker theme, and is similar to the Tim Burton Batman movies. Tim Burton stayed well away from the 1960s TV series comedy, and made it sinister (which was based on the assumption that most Batman fans were adults in 1989 when the film was made.)
The He-Man film is being aimed at the 30 somethings who watched the TV series in the 1980s.
And Oasis entertained the same audience in the 90s.
Gem and Andy are a couple of wankers who have completely ruined Oasis. They were'nt even in the frame when this fine tune was kickin about. There in the frame now thou with that shock o the lightnin pish. Bring back BONEHEAD.
It's great and this version sounds bouncier, maybe becuase the mix is less dense. The riff in the pre-chorus at 0:33 is clearer than in the release version. In fact it sounds like the intro to The Beatles' classic Getting Better. Nice tip of the hat. Wonder who did the re-mix?
Didnt know for a long time that this song was used for the credits (never seen the film). Stop crying your heart out used in the Butterfly Effect is pretty cool.

Solider On and Roll It Over, apparently.

Smart marketing.

Be Here Now is underrated. So many good tunes and b-sides. Does anybody have a live version I Got the Fever or Going Nowhere?

Very pop!
