Think the other version suits the tone of the song a lot better (plus I tend to prefer whichever version of a song I hear first, which was of course the other one), but this isn't bad.
I like the turnaround with the lyric. 'always ask if I'm ok, it's not the same as being happy' vs 'I asked if you were ok, you just smiled and said you were happy'

Undecided on this version, it's still awesome, but i think I prefer the original
