@NoVaX9000 If the Compatibility Profile still runs too slow, search around for a Performance Build on the Forums. Which emulates games at almost the same speed as Snes9x.
@NoVaX9000, I like Bsnes just fine, I think it's an excellent emulator and certainly gets the job done right :D Then again, so is Snes9x, which I think kicks the crap outta Zsnes in terms of audio emulation (uses the same SPC700 core as Bsnes). I can run the Performance build just fine (full speed, no hiccups, etc) even though there hasn't been one made since version 0.74 I admit that I said things about Byuu I shouldn't have said, and so I'll say right now that he is an excellent programmer.
bsnes is the most accurate SNES Emulator in every aspect - Sound, Video, everything.
If you would like to give it a go, you can find it on byuu.org
The Accuracy Profile Build may run a little slow, so try the Compatibility Profile. There is also other custom builds if you check the forums there.
Although bsnes also runs Gameboy games, but they are focused on SNES Emulation.
It also runs the original Nintendo games.
