My Frontosa is having the same problem, although the float is not quite that severe. I've read about this procedure online, but am a little hesitant. Was this just a temporary fix?

I fed them with floating pellets food. That was why causing the problem.

It is all depending on individual. Some fixed and never have float again and some are just temporary.
