I would not recommend playing this game on a laptop. It will get...HOT!! I lent this game to some dude and he was bragging because he could play it on his laptop (low, mind you) and half way through the levels he fried it.

Wow. This game looks really hard. NOT. You get a special suit that makes you Superman, and the NPCs are all loser schmucks. Where's the challenge or fun? Plus you're hanging out in a jungle. This game looks like ASS.

well I noticed a difference too but I think because of the quality selection I chose medium quality because my graphics card is GeForce8400 GS & 1Gram XP. the problem is that some weapons have problems with the lighting it becomes so bright with specific weapons like the fl700 & the fist I can't see with them because it is too bright. also cloak mode I cannot snipe with this because it doesn't become invisible like the game no it becomes blue light which I can't look at the target with.

thanks to mark i download the vista file for win XP so that the option is avaliable. quality, at 1600x1200 with very high quality is very simply amazing and very smooth..am running a core2duo 3ghz at 1333. Ram 2 gb running at 1333mhz and a nvidia 8800 gtx 512mb ddr3

you don't need a sli plataform to run crysis on ultra. i have 1 asus 8800gts 640mb and it goes really smooth. maybe it's the 320-bit memory interface, compared to the 256-bit of the gt. maybe you just need a gts. or the 9000 series, same thing as the 8000 but with hdmi. still i would go for a 8800 ultra, just check the space in your case!!

You clearly don't understand the story behind Crysis, then. It takes place in 2019, and the character you play as has a suit on where one can switch between Maximum Strength, Speed, or Armor. With the Maximum Strength accessory enabled, one can do such things as punch a little hut down or throw someone twenty feet.

The weapon customization is ridiculous, and the AI are supposed to be remarkably intelligent. Not to mention that one can shoot any tree in the forest and the leaves will react and small trees will break and collapse.

There are so many FPS's out there that originality is virtually impossible, but the replay value of Crysis is going to be way up there on the scale.

im glad you can see your own body in that game! finally someone did it right - the other two fp games i know who did it like this were halo 2 and dark messiah, but in halo you only see your legs and in dm your body is there but it doesnt seem to fit to the rest of the not sooo good game / the feature isnt used for anything

At the conventions they were running it on 2xgtx8800's, but you can see the massive differnce between the videos they have released and the ones played at shows, where the cant cart around their custome development computers, No computer build now with all the top components will run this at max. what are you talking abaout? this game will run at max settings with resolution on 1024x1280 on computer : Pentium core 2 duo 2.4 Ghz ( 4,8 Ghz), 3 Gb of RAM, and GForce 8800 GTX with 768 mb !!! and offcourse Windows Vista, because Vista uses different path of information flow, wich will run games with lowest FPS, and DX10 will do the rest of the job!!! You wont be needing 2 Gforces to run this game! =P

Crytek announced the min and max parameters for this game! the optimal RAM is 1.5 Gb , but on 2-3 Gb of RAm this game will fly + Optimal CPU is 3.5 Ghz ( Best would be with 4.8 Ghz) and Video Gforce 7900 GT with 512 mb ( and again, best would be Gforce 8800 GTX with 768 mb). think again what Pc u will be needing :D on my PC ( 4.8 Ghz, 3 Gb of RAM , Gforce 8800 GTX 768 mb) this game will fly ;)

Moron, developers test games on custom built(abet like mini super computers), as has been discussed in other forums.(not all developers) 1x 8800gtx cant run crysis max settings as crytech has stated, no different to most other games that come out, and can not be run(maxed out) on current hardware. Just like when farcry came out, it could not be run max settings with the best available hardware at the time. And once again, you don't know how your system will run it as it hasn't come out yet.

sadly it wont. just one 8800gtx with 2g ram and top end amd mother board & chip wont run it at full spec and with all the physic, objects + graphics there will be mad slow down when in the thick of it. Just think what throwing a bunch of physics objects around in the sause engine does.

you made the mistake of saying AMD, AMD are not the crown of processors at the momeny, so a 8800gtx core 2 duo and 2 gig of ram will run it at a high res with enough eye candy going on. if you want all the physics then maybe the next nvidia cards will feature something to support this without fps loss like a PPU, otherwise wait till benchies are realeased.
