    Which is worse? Having an abortion or trying to raise a child in horrible conditions in a society that does not believe in welfare?

  • @lizziecarini Is there anything wrong with killing a newborn child so that he does not have to live in harsh conditions? How about your struggling teenager? or Grandma who just doesn't seem to have much to live for? You cannot imagine what the innocent human life of the yet unborn child you kill will become. Look at President Obama. He's lucky his mother didn't abort him, coming from a broken family, and a single mom. But now he's our first black president b/c his mom chose life.

    He no longer loved his wife. And he was tired -- so very tired -- of supporting her. It was so inconvenient! He wanted to date other women and hang with his buddies.

    So he hired an aborter to come to his house, knock a hole in his wife's head, and suction out her brain. Then they cut off her arms and legs and threw the fetus pieces into a dumpster.

    It was legal. Laws only existed to protect the rich and powerful.

    I'm stating that most "pro-lifers" only focus on having women carry their fetuses to term, but tend to have little to no solutions for what's to be done after the birth, and will also vote for politicians who will make it extremely difficult for a lot of women to raise a child.

    This is why I see the "pro-life" label as being ridiculous, since most of you are really just "anti-abortion" who want to control womens bodies and care little for the well being of life

    I would love for America to stop spending $trillions on supporting the military industrial complex and bring our tax money back where it belongs -- into working as one big American community.

    We could give famine aid to our neighbors but not weapons aid. Other than that, we need to keep our money in America and fix things here.

    Large corporations have destroyed small industry and removed jobs. So Americans need basic help in receiving food and shelter. Babies would benefit.

    Will you take care of these pregnant women, ensuring them the support they'll need throughout their pregnancy? Will you ensure they'll all be able to put them babies into loving homes, or help them to raise them themselves if they choose? Will you put money into helping to raise these children? Contribute to their college funds, etc?

    Would you pay his mortgage for him? Buy him a big screen TV, and maybe a motorcycle? After all, you passed the law outlawing bank robbery, so that has affected his financial future. Does that mean it's your responsibility to secure his financial future?

    At some point, people need to take responsibility for their own actions.

    If you aren't prepared to step-up and take responsibility for these babies than you're in no position to tell a woman, who does admit that she isn't prepared or willing to raise a child, that she can't abort her fetus

    This isn't about "winning" it's about being realistic

    So part of my standing up for the rights of the most vulnerable among us (unborn babies), I try to illustrate to people who care only about themselves that is in their best interest to live in a country in which all lives are seen as sacred, including theirs.

    adoption is not always a good idea. There are currently over 250 million orphans in the world, most of them will never be adopted and grow-out of the system without a guardian. Not to mention we just hit 7 billion people not long ago in a planet that can only sustain up to 9 billion

Is murder wrong when you are asleep? Fetuses can feel pain by 8 weeks after fertilization anyway. BUT its not pain which makes murder wrong, it's the fact that a human person who has a right to life is killed. Pain is irrelevant. Consciousness is irrelevant. That 8-week figure is skewered pro-life mentality, pal. Also, PSYCHE: Learn it. A psyche is a construct that exists within the mind at all times, which is how we dream. My psyche would still exist and thus my mind after you drug me and kill me, thus making it wrong. A fetus has no psyche formed. Human or not is irrelevant. Stop being speciesist.

  • @aguernz Man is a rational animal. He is composed of body and rational soul. The soul is the life principle of the body, and allows the human person to grow, reproduce, sense and think. Since man's rational soul has immaterial ideas like 1+1=2, the soul must be immaterial and invisible - a single unit without parts. For an unborn baby, its functions are limited to growth and (soon) sensation, but it still is a person because it has a rational soul. It just cant use its power to think yet.

A fetus didn't. They had family and could suffer, a fetus doesn't. The oppressed are oppressed because they can feel it. Otherwise rocks would be called oppressed. People in comas still have minds dormant, babies have a form of psyche (how else could they cry?). Vegetative states... Are trickier, I will say.

The Jews killed in the holocaust were persons although the Nazi government did not recognize those rights. The unborn are persons with rights because they are unique and independent members of the human species just as you are, and NOT b/c of the unjust laws which allow abortion (murder). Does a trip down the birth canal really objectively change anything in the fetus?

  • The question is, when does objective (not legal) personhood begin and why? Is it at birth? What does birth really do to the fetus? A newborn is dependent on its mother too. How about viability? Well our technology improves with time to allow for more premature birth. How about pain sensation? A fetus feels pain by 20 weeks anyway, but if I kill a man after sedating him, it would still be wrong, no? The answer is CONCEPTION! Scientifically, this is when a unique organism with its own DNA begins.

  • @Sueezee1 YES Roe v. Wade made abortion legal, but the ruling was against human rights.How is it health care for a mother to kill her child? The fetus is not "part of the woman's body." The fetus has different DNA, and by certain stages it can move, beat its heart, feel pain and suck its thumb and exhibit brain activity. The "right to privacy" fails to recognize that the fetus is not part of the mother, but a human being with a natural right to life, which the law ought to recognize.

  • Why can't you understand that laws are just only insofar as they derived from the way things are? Science is one thing that tells us about the way things are. A fetus is a person because it meets the scientific criteria for a human person, just as you do (ie. uniqueness, no additional dna, growth, development). Laws or court rulings like Roe. v. Wade, which contradict the fact that an unborn child has natural rights, are unjust and should be revoked. How is this confusing anything???

The laws we make as an American people to outlaw injustices like abortion ought to reflect human rights and the common good. If you can't understand this instead of calling me stupid, just read the Declaration of Independence and our Founding Fathers and see how they viewed the law as subordinate to human rights which come from the CREATOR and are inalienable.

  • @Sueezee1 A 2011 june gallup poll finds 48% of Americans calling themselves "pro-life" and 46% "pro-choice", and a majority of Americans think abortion should be legal only in a few circumstances. People are becoming educated as to what an unborn child truly is and looks like. Why is it that planned parenthood doesn't want women to see their ultrasounds? The abortion industry isn't even interested in helping women make good or informed choices they want, they just want money from abortions!

  • @Sueezee1 My reason is because an unborn baby is treated as an animal or property (remember slavery) with no right to life when in fact it is scientifically a human being with a right to life given to it BY ITS CREATOR and therefore the STATE ought to legally recognize all human life from fertilization as legal persons. It's so simple and it's in the declaration of independence: that all men are endowed by their creator with rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Before Roe v. Wade, unborn babies were understood to be legal persons. Doctors were told they had two patients during a prenancy. You seem to be missing the point that the laws we make partake of the nature of law only so far as they are derived from the law of nature, ex. that humans have human rights

A fetus has its own complete DNA and chromosomes, which have predetermined the child's sex,eye color, intelligence, etc The only difference between you as a fetus and you today is TIME and NUTRITION.   • @Sueezee1 LEGAL does not mean MORALLY CORRECT. Slavery was LEGAL, but it was IMMORAL. Time will tell when Roe. v. Wade is challenged in the Supreme Court again. Just for the record, 4 supreme court justices agree with my position. So I guess I'm not so crazy. Missisippi almost passed the personhood amendment to define legal personhood at fertilization. It's only a matter of time before the new prolife majority in America passes laws which bring abortion back before the supreme court.

  • @Sueezee1 Firstly, the 1787 constitution does not define human being; they figure we'd be smart enough to figure it out. Secondly, the 14th amendment protects the rights of persons. Thirdly, when the constitution was written, they didn't have modern science to tell them that human life begins at fertilization. They had no ultrasounds or knowledge of sperm or egg cells until much later. If they had the info we have today, our founders would surely NOT exclude protecting fetal human beings.

  • What it often comes down to is the definition of what a human is, and that generally comes from what doctors have determined based on stage of development. The subject of "when the baby can feel pain" is the main issue.

    Here is what I think. We may NEVER be able to define when a baby starts to "feel", or "think", but as a Christian, I believe human life is sacred no matter what point of development it has reached. I don't care when the baby starts to feel, think, or anything else. Its a baby.
