So the SLR is more comfortable and is more practical but the Porsche is the better supercar! Anyway, an Enzo is much better than both of them!

SLR all the way. For someone who was going to live with the car for the rest of their lives, I'd choose the SLR for it's all round capabilities. Yes there are some issues with the brakes,but seriously, if you put them under that much pressure to begin with your going overboard anyway.

the SLR is a super charge V8 with 626 HP, carrera V10 with only 612HP

@massycori Lambo is a company that was originally Italian, but is owned by Germans. All of it's decisions were made by Audi in the past -quite a few- years. Bugatti was originally Italian, yes, but if you play that card, may I point out that the first car was made by Carl Benz, a German? It's all a name brand now. The Bugatti you see today is 100% German. Still, I am a fan of Italian cars, and while I wasn't impressed by Ferrari for a couple of years, Their 458 is a beautiful comeback.

They are both great cars.. But the SLR is better looking, has a better exhaust note, is easier to live with, and handles better. I know EVERYONE on youtube says "I've got one of those" or some bullshit like that but I actually have driven a few Porsche's on tracks before, not mine, and they are amazing cars, but if you are not an experienced driver they WILL kill you. The SLR however, is civilized and composed even at very high speeds watch the stig. Top Gear is my very favorite show btw =)

No the fact is the ACR was a stripped out racing car had it's suspension adjusted from standard, because the driver was complaining of under steer. So a race adjusted car vs a stock factory car is a joke! It's a good car but making it lighter and more race like is pathetic... Why didn't they just leave it alone and set a time? no they had to adjust the car to pull a lower time.

I got a question: Porsche say the new 911 turbo can do 0-60 in less than 3.5 seconds. I forget if thats the exact figure but nevertheless it's quicker than the 3.8 sec Jeremy cites for the GT. So in a drag race, would the 911 beat the GT to 60mph? I just can't understand how this 600+ V10 could be beat by a 500+ flat 6. Is it just because the GT specializes in the higher range?

For the sprint from 0 - 60 the torque of an engine is even more important then the pure bhp. It is also important at which engine rpm the maximum torque is reached. The turbo charged 3,8 l 6 cylinder of the new 911 turbo has with overboost 670 nm torque at 1950 rpm while the carrera gt reaches its maxium of 570 nm at 5950 rpm. You also have to consider that the 911 got all wheel drive and launch control. Considering these facts it is no wonder that the turbo beats the GT from 0 - 60. greets
