i thing the 2.1 usb port is a winner as u can use it as a pc interface. i have a g2 which is great, i think i need this one too

do you have to use amp with the zoom A2, or any subwoofer or speaker would do?

To get really good sound you should use an amp specificly made for an acoustic. You can get a small 15 watt amp , I use a Behringer..but you can use any brand

What amps are you talking about? I'm using a Behringer acx1000 and also Beringer ultraacoustic..They sound pretty good to me. Perfect for Acoustic Guitars

Can you use the effects with a mic??

I've never tried that..but most likey it wouldn't sound to good.. I have a DigiTech 300 vocal effects processor. Thats made for using a mic..

Yea but since they updated the model it's A2.1U which is built in...I had a used pedal thats a different make but it seem to work ok with what I have
