  • The main problem with this kind of Leslie is that when you plug in another keyboard such as a synthesizer, there are no stationary speakers to avoid the tremolo effects. On some Leslie speaker cabinets, there are stationary speakers that do not rotate, allowing to in put another keyboard, possibly vocals.

  • @patsaxon You can always set a 540 Leslie, maybe two on top- it's got a stereo amp driving a pair of 6x9's. That's what I have now with my Rialto II and below the two 540's is a 705 Leslie that has a stationary 15'' facing down, to the right- below the 15'' is a spinning Rotosonic drum with a 6x9 that sits back a bit in the drum and spins with the drum which is excellent for the theater organ full rich tremulent sound. Above the 15'' where there is normally a high rotor are 2-6x9s. May add rotor

  • very poor audio, but the 3300w sounds great in person.

  • i didn;t think they were making b3's anymore please write and tell me more, thanks

  • Man, you sound great. Nice playing.

  • The only real B3 sound comes from a vintage B3. To hear it in its full glory, you have to actually be by the Leslie, but no clonewheel will ever touch the B3's sound.

  • hes got the häng of it....:)!

  • Royalorgans is a dumb troll!!!

  • @themilksnatcher Dam straight. I've come across him on numerous other B3 videos, but it seems he is gathering support form other Elegante users. Pitching the Elegante up against the B3 is like pitching Bieber against Lennox Lewis.

  • @StuartLou i like ballads too but what do you mean "so called jazz shit"?

  • i really like how small the leslie is

  • thats alright!!! i like the beginning

  • Nice playing - Who is that?

  • New?The XH Series is 12 Years old now.

    What planet are you from??

    Its a home type of organ also,still wery good,but a older modell./TWD

  • They have updated the model with new sounds and also it has alot of function to support every style of music. you should try playing one becuase it probably would kill the B-3 organ.

  • Im quite involved in Hammonds products.

The Leslie 3300W was my concept, and then built by Hammond.Hammond M44(not sold in the US)was also my idéa.

I think I have a pretty good idea of how the New Organs from Hammond sounds.

The XH.272 is just sold to the American

market.I have probably sold more New B3s and also XB3s before than anyone alone here in Europe!

  • Since you have tryed the hammond Xh-272, would you consider putting it on youtube and hooking that 3300w to it and let us here how it sound.

when you do it, please play it like you would play the b-3 and pull out all the stops ( meaning let her rip).

  • @Tonewheeldude Tone i no nuthin of the Hammond "B3",so i'm going to ask someone who does know it. how does this "B3" from "08" match up to the old tonewheel "B3's"???. and the what method of tone generation is used,by the "2008" model???.

  • nothing can beat the b-3

  • You must not have heard of the Xh-272 organ/

  • nothing can beat the b-3

  • I think that you are jsut bias to the b-3 and dont want you give the elegante credit. Have you even played the Elegnate

  • Yes, I do have a b-3 bias as all of these digital organs are trying to do is replicate the b-3, and since it is impossible to truly replicate the b-3 through digital means, to say a clone is better than the original is a fallacy.

If anything, a pimped-out synthesizer would be "better" than the b-3, as a pimped-out synthesizer has a purpose other than replicating a previous instrument.

  • Man what a great sound. One of the greatest sounds ever.

  • I am really glad this is still being made.

  • Too bad the organs aren't being made. Yeah, "the New B3" but it's digital. :(

  • actually, the wood version of the 3300 is not available in the USA. Only the black ones are.

  • I hope HS USA will change that ASAP!

  • nope, I just bought one off of ebay.

  • can this amp be use with a guitar?

  • I dont think so, but there is a leslie speaker just for guitars.

I think its the leslie-37, but im not sure.

  • Yes!Sorry for late answer!

  • I'm so tired of you!

  • Me too

  • curious which way the top rotor is turning ...

the first rice burners spun backwards..

  • I've got the prototype of the 3300 box, it's cool, and very loud, but can also play very soft. This box really rocks!

  • That was some cute tune!

  • anybody ever think to use the amp from a hammond tone cabinet in a leslie cabinet? i will eventually. one can expect a lot of sound using a 180 watt tube amp. or perhaps i'm going about this the wrong way... maybe i should wire my 147 amp right to the horn, and the hr-40 amp right to the bass speaker...both speakers are high wattage replacements that should be able to handle it...

  • I'd like to hear something where this thing sounds angry like Smokin' by Boston or something. Demo that!

  • Yepp,we Might do that!BTW i saw BOSTON Live in 1978 in Stockholm!Fantastic Concert!

The Organ Solo Foreplay/Longtime is a Classic!

Tom Played it on a M100,that Was Connected to a Leslie Setup with 6 leslies in a Row!

  • Super sympa!...

  • No balls ! You can almost hear the paper cone vibrate when the bass pedal is played. Who is that bloke trying to make adjustments ? Not sure if its the organ or leslie but it sounds so thin, sorry

  • Well, the Bloke is Me.The Leslie 3300W.Was My Idéaabout 6 years ago. Then developed by Hammond Suzuki.I can assure you that it has enough "Balls".Its one of the loudest Leslies ever Produced. Its hard to Give a Good Sound Quality here with just a Digital Camera.

Try a 3300W For real Instead, before you jump to any conclusions.

  • I was refering to the bass response produced by a cabinet of this size, just like the difference between a 145 and 147 leslie. As per the comment by Shnewsman below I would like to hear the same design iside a 760 size cabinet. As you say the quality of the video does not do this Lesie any justice. I have tried one of these Leslies but I suppose there is no comparison to a 122 or 147 valve system. Sorry if I offended you with my previous comment

  • slow as she goes brother! Ain't nuthin' like an old Hammond B-3 and a Leslie!

  • Maybe-that depends on the Condition of the B3 and the Leslie.Have you played the New B3 and our Sweet Sounding 3300 W Leslie? Its a Killer!

  • since i bought mine in the US, what is ROHS branding? i know what CE is; it's like UL here. i bought mine just days before the US price went up. the euro doesn't help US prices, either. 2695 euros is about 3900 US dollars, or the US price of a 971. nothing's cheap these days...

  • RoHs=Restriction Of Certain Hazardous Substances In Electrical and Electronical Equipment!

  • one more thing--it would be awesome if H/S would make this config in a 760-size cabinet. the extra bottom from the bigger cabinet is a plus, but the fact it fits in an SUV outweighs that.

  • i paid about 1900 for mine new in march of 2007 when they first came out. took six weeks to get it. it came with an eden driver which had a buzz in it. H/S was terrific; fed-exing me a new driver (since i've rebuilt a few leslies in my time changing it out was no big deal) which screams. HS has since changed to another driver maker and apparently has had no problems. neither have i. they pack a LOT into that little box, believe me. best leslie since the 122.

  • Price in Europe is about 2695Euros,but all Leslie has to be ROHS branded(no need in US),so they are more expensive to build, also CE aproval Etc+in Sweden we have 25% VAT!The Drivers should not be any Problems on Either 3300,or 3300 W.The Idéa was also to not to have a Big Bulky Leslie Like the 760,but still as you said with the real power and Bass+all the possibillities to adjust it to your liking-and to hook it up to any organ,Or keyboard-Or what you like! And fit it in Your Station Wagon!Easy!!

  • where/how do you get a leslie and how much do they range in cost?

  • i have the 3300 on wheels with an xk-3 and midi pedalboard and am so impressed with it. it blows the doors off anything else its size. it's not as 'woody' sounding as a 145, but i A-Bd it with a 145 and you can't even HEAR the 145 next to it at full crank. and it fits in an SUV! only real negative is that it does need some tweaking to get the old wood leslie upper-lower 'balance.' it's very bright--but that's okay for gigs. great box!

  • Låter PRECIS som en klassisk tonhjuls-B-3:a! Närmare kommer man inte...

  • Tack!Visar att Vi gjort vårat Jobb!

    MVH/Patrik

  • Its Realy a Powerfull Little Wood Leslie!Smaller than a 145,wich was the general Idea with It when we Drew up the Basic Lines.Me and Mr Siemen Lassche President of Hammond Europe. We have had wery good reactions on it.

Only negative is from those people who wanted a 145 Leslie again-but this is not a 145!

Its smaller,Louder-more adapable to old and New Organs-and Different Brands.

  • Sounds great
