Seriously, the only people that they showed was Algul, Alde, Asteroth, Ivy, Yoda, Nightmare, and Siegfried. If ONLY they showed the other characters, I'm sure it would be 4-5 more minutes long but it would be legit able enough to compete against the other 2 intros of SC

I'm a Star War fan but really, when you mix it in with an epic video game series such as Soul Calibur, it just ruins it. I still prefer Soul Calibur III (And I'm sure the other games are better than this) and I really don't have a right to say Soul Calibur IIII is bad since I have not played it, but I just didn't waste money on it because I had a feeling it was gonna suck.

That's what I thought after seeing Soulcalibur 3, I liked them more simple, they just worked the costumes too much, Soul Edge (or Blade) and Soulcalibur 2 openings are the best in my opinion, great scenes plus the awesome music they got, I just didn't liked this and 3rd, they move way too slow, didn't like the music either.

Arthas was once a prince of Lordearon who's soul was corrupted by Revenge and Frostmourne. he became the lich king of his own will and before that he was a death knight who served Ner'Zhul. Nightmare is the concicious of Soul Edge, a being who seeks to not rule the world but to destroy it by collecting all the souls to complete soul edge to become more powerful. Nightmare is Soul Edge. except in Soul Calibur II and I, where he was Siegfried.

All of the opening cutscene is simply gameplay graphics, but they were noobish with it the fights in the opening were slow and boring compared to SC2 and SCIII's fast pace action but that was because it utilized CG. GO BACK TO CG. The also utilized too much bullettime/slo-mo. The Yoda vs Astaroth fight i was expecting more but it was just Fail.

I'm probably going to get downvoted on this comment, but i figure i might as well come out with it: i think the costumes in this game look kinda cheesy. I mean, SC II and III were at least simple enough to be believable, but now what do we have? An weird-looking golem thing that i assume is Astaroth. If that is him, his cool factor went WAY down. SCII astaroth was simple and scary; exposed heart = win. But now he looks like a SFX studio used everything on one character model. Simple is ok!
