  • Glue is easier when heated up with a heat gun... do not overdo it, but WAY EASIER!

  • DO NOT follow this video unless you pay attention to the 2 second pop-up at 5.56 min . They obviously forgot to show you how to unplug the jack ribbon, which is very important when sliding the inner out from the casing ( other videos posted on here show you how ) Also the correct way to dis-connect the screen from the connector on the main board ( 8.10 min) is not to just GENTLY PULL,but to gently flip up the black band to 45 deg which will release the ribbon from the connector.

  • wht`s the name of that tool green? and wht`s the marketig name byeee

  • REPLY @kedalicious17

EBAY! I paid $3... less than that if you order from a it from a seller in asia (china)

Chinese stuff is always MUCH cheaper than American but the shipping from asia to US is sloooooooow.

  • will this fix the blank screen on my ipod?

  • i have the same problem.... i been trying to find solutions.. i think it might be a lose cable

  • @adesh12 hold enter and menu to fix black screen

  • Does anybody know if this is the same process you would use to replace the screen for a 4th gen Nano? I haven't been able to find any useful info online about opening the Nano 4's.

you can use a guitar pick, or a small screwdriver if you don't care about scratching your ipod (i just tried)

  • Hey, this has been very helpful. I'm putting the screws to my iPod right now, and the little pictograms I was looking at don't really convey the motion of pulling this thing apart. So thank you for that.

  • what i meant by dead.. is that it doesnt work anymore..

it burned on the inside i guess.. cuz when i go it it was boiling hot and didnt turn on..

hell that was 9 months agoo... wtff i need a new one.. damit..

  • Remember, I guess you can discharge it by touching a metal surface PRIOR TO DOING THIS :]

  • how do i fix select button? now all i got is 2G 4GB pink ipod nano [SHUFFLE]....

  • Nice Job, man You've got guts. Allow me to rant, though. Why does it have to be so (darn) difficult to open it, not neccicarily for replaceing the screen. What If I'm just trying to replace the batteries??? On older ones you could just pop the back off and disconnect the batteries and replace them and barely have to even TOUCH the board. :(

  • it's supposed to be hard, apple wants to keep their stuff top secret, that's why a bunch of other companies went their own way, the couldn't copy, might i reming u that of the computer companies we still have, apple came along first, guided by steve jobs

  • sure, let's go with that!!!

  • it's fact, i sware

  • What kind of screwdriver are you using? i've been looking all over for a small one for the inside screw and i can't find one.

  • you need a precision phillips screwdriver, number 00 is best.
