Why not? Our Natives are truly natives and indigenous to the US.! Our tribes are represented politically, their interests are protected and their history is taught in our public school system! We also have incorporated them into the workplace, our universities, given them equal rights and protections under the law and lived side-by-side with them for generations.

Your problem is that you are stuck in the past. Now fast forward a bit and realize that NO NATIVE AMERICANS WHATSOEVER ARE FORCED TO LIVE ON RESERVATIONS! This is their land and they are free to roam about wherever they wish. Not only that, they are free to never have to endure any kind of racism, discrimination or to be treated as a second-class citizen.

Mexico had refused to sell the land to the US before the war started. Once the US won the war with Mexico the Mexican government had no choice but to sell the land. Mexico was a weak nation still recovering from its independence . Part of congress even wanted to make all of Mexico part of the US.

There are people in Mexico that speak Nahuatl and other native languages like in states like Oaxaca and Chiapas for example. What is wrong with learning Nahuatl? If the Mexican mafia uses the Nahautl language does it make it wrong for anyone else to learn the language?
