@keynesey Yeah its what we call a tag/lift axel over here, its not driven. its on there to comply with weight laws, as to run at 44tons you must have 3 axels on the unit and 3 on the trailer. they dont tend to use double drives as they would rather use the extra weight for extra load space
@pixmafia Most bulk refuse tippers in this end of the country run double drives, basically because it's easier to maintain traction on the tip,
If the driver tips at a reasonable speed he can lower the body if it does start to lean, with the weight still inside it wii drop quickly, any sensible driver would only pull forward far enough to clear the load, then drop the body, only o fool would drive with the body still up, or while lowering it.
No as they are driving and unloading on rubbish so the ground can be soft and uneven, the 360 is there just as a safety thing, in the event of the trailer starting to go over we can hold it and straighten it back up with the 360.
@pixmafia I was in a fuchs mhl 320 doing the same thing asin the video, when the driver of the truck drove off he was on uneven ground. thats the first time I saw a truck/trailer roll over in front of me... not a pretty site
and i thought paper, card and plastic went to be recycled....but here there is a tipper full at landfill.....

why do they need an excavator at all? can´t the tipper be unloaded by just raising it, as they did?

Good video, nice bit of fast reversing by the lorry driver! I know some who'd struggle to get an eight wheeler back there lol.
