  • I LOVE THIS. I like it better- no.. maybe not better. But it's amazing.

  • It's so pretty!!

  • Cette version est la plus belle. La traduction est simplement merveilleux.

  • French, forever the language of love ♥

  • SO GORGEOUS. <3 This is my favorite version, handsdown.

Can someone tell me why they made a Canadian French version as well? I don't mean to sound ignorant or anything, but European French and Canadian French can't be so different that they would need to make two dubs so people could understand it? o_O

  • @ang3las0ng The same reason that they make Latin Spanish, European Spanish, and Castilian versions. If you were watching an English version and they started using strange slang or words that never get used in your country, you would be a little confused and/or disappointed.

J'adore!!

  • I know what she's saying even though I don't speak French =/

  • I LOVE how she can hit the high notes in her chest voice but she sounds so soft...

  • Maeva Meline est juste Merveilleuse ♥

  • Et je vois dans ce regard,

Que les lumières brillent pour nous..

And i see in this glance

That the lights shine for us..

The glance = Le regard? It's good? I'm french and i speak french and spanish but i learn english :)

Sorry if my english is bad :/

  • @xxted7 I'm an american learning french, maybe I can help. :)

The most literal translation for ce regard is your(/this) stare/gaze, but that sounds wrong. The /best/ translation for "dans ce regard" is "in your eyes". So:

And I see in your eyes (can tell by looking in your eyes = how you'd say it)

That the lights are shining for us

These lyrics sound so awkward in english. x) /Most of the time/, "in your eyes" is the best translation. Just ask if you'd like me to try and explain further. :)

  • j'adore "i see the light" en francais!!!!!

  • I hate French, I live somewere they speake it and I don't like it. But this version's pretty good. I like the flamisch version to. Flynn's voice is great there.

  • @KaWulfe I hate the French when it's spoken, but when it's sung...oh <3.

  • @ShinobiSasukeUchiha the French language.

No offense to those who are French or speak the language. I just have a personal vendetta against it.

  • @ShinobiSasukeUchiha You're totally right not to love our language as I have the right to don't like some ^ ^. We will not blame you for that.

  • I do not offense ^^ But, let me say: I Love English language a lot ;)

  • @ShinobiSasukeUchiha Maybe you don't like french when parisians speak it, because I agree, it sounds arrogant, but, go to the south of France, it's so much cool and Funny ;) I say that because i'm french (in the very ouest south) myself and when I went to Paris, I didn't like how parisans spoke. for me, it sounded like they were full of themselves. it's just their accent I guess! But it's just my opinion ;)

  • I LOVE THIS!!! its so pretty! <3

  • This is one of the reasons why French is my favorite language, and i have been learning it for years! J'adore ca!

  • My Love-language's are German & French *-*

  • It makes me want to learn French.

  • i don't speak French, but it sounds beautiful in French.

Et je vois dans ce regard!

  • anyone speak English?

  • Polish and French the best version, this really is a beautiful song. <3

  • @tysia22a i am from poland and thnx

  • It is the same thing for "The future has lighted, My life is in this place"

  • Omg, this song is amazing in french! Greetings from Brazil.

  • "The future has lighted, I guess where I'm going"

  • I've noted another mistake, I've used the wrong verbs in these sentences, here is the rectification:

"Because, finally the fog has lifted"

"That finally the veil has lifted"

  • It was the first sentence of the thrid verse

Here is, maybe, a better translation for these sentences:

"I'm there, and suddenly I see"

"The air is sweet, i am delighted to feel the world move"

    Sorry for spam

  • Oops, the first sentence of the first verse was added by inattention

  • And:

And I see in this gaze

That the veil, finally, is lifted

And I see in this gaze

That the lights are shining for us

And in the sweetness of the night

I feel the world has moved

    Now, everything looks different

I want to believe in you

I want to believe in us.

  • Third verse:

All this time, hunting the boredom

So many years, without seeing or understanding

The world and the real life

She is there, under the stars

I see her, and suddenly I know

The future is lihgted, I guess where I'm going!

  • second verse:

    And I'm all dazzled

Because, finally the fog is lifted

    And I'm all dazzled

    The lights twinkle everywhere

The air is sweet, I am pleased

    Feel the world move

    Now everything looks different

I want to believe in you.

  • I'm French and this is how I would have translated in English;

    first verse:

All this time, dreaming day and night

All this time, Hidden in my thoughts

All this time, never believe it

So many years, so far of this world and of the thruth

Here I am, under the starry sky

I'm here, and suddenly I see

The furute is lighted, my life is in this place!

  • wow that was so beautiful *.*

would someone please translate it into english please?

  • I'm surprised because French version is much better than I expected. And Rapunzel's and Flynn's voices match very good.

  • The French lyrics are so sweet and romantic.. :)

  • This language is so pretty. I wish I took French for my 7th grade foreign language class, but the teacher is really mean so I wouldn't get a very good grade :/

  • French=love. And I don't even speak it... yet.

  • Where can I get a copy of this song? An MP3 down load?? I love Disney songs in French!!!

  • @PixieDustInc i see the light french mediafire <--type exactly that in the google thingy.

  • thank you - must buy the dvd next time I am Paris. I knew it featured the lovely Maeva but didn't realise Emmanuel sang on it as well

  • I love this song in French! the lyrics have such a sweet meaning, I really loved "Je veux croire en vous Je veux croire en nous", it's so amazing!

French is such a gorgeous language. <3

  • Rapunzel's voice sounds eerily similar throughout all the language versions. (:

  • i doubt there is another language on this planet which is so expressive and breath taking when sung.

bravo la france, your sync's did an amazing job, I'm moved to tears!

thanks a lot, your friend from germany

  • it makes me want to learn this language :) c'est génial!

  • her voice is so much better than mandy moore's!

  • I can't even believe something this pretty exists.

  • I love women who speak French. *-*

  • who could be serious and dislike this song??? is sooooooo lovely and pure, c'mon!

  • Oh my, this is so lovely....It makes me cry...

  • glad I'm from Luxembourg :P I understand and can sing along this song in 4 languages :)) I simply love it :)

  • I like this one better than the original english one! The singer of Rapunzel is amazing!

  • Magnifique!!!

  • I really want to get this soundtrack; it's so awesome in French. But I'm having trouble finding it... :(

  • I really like this version, French is a lovely language :)

  • Does anyone know what the difference is between the European French and the Canadian French? Is it just certain words, or a slang?

  • @RijiiRizu Well, Canadian French have a really different accent, and some expressions that we don't use in France but it's the same French :)

  • @RijiiRizu Canadian French have a really weird accent (it was the accent the European French used to have long long time ago, but we loosed it), most of the European French can't understand it anymore. But in the movies, Canadian French are trying to lose their accent, and then there's almost no differences between both French, except the expressions or a few words. That's why it exists two versions of dubbing in French they both have really differents sentences, but the accent is quite similar.

  • I love that even though they're different people, the voices of the characters basically stay the same/very similar in every language. Disney is pretty good at that.

  • i luv this song i have already memorized its easy for me cuz im taking french classes

  • Maéva Méline sounds just like Mandy Moore, they even share the same initials! :D

  • There's something about the French language. Almost magical.

The language of romance =) <3

  • Amazing, so heartily :'(

    J'adore j'adore.....

  • the best versions of this song: polish, french and dutch . ;)

  • Her voice didn't change a bit!

  • I just can't stop watching this one. Just want to listen to it again and again and again <3

  • Ces chanson est formidable <3

  • This is gorgeous. I knew that hearing this breathtaking song with this beautiful language would be a good match :)

  • French is such a beautiful language!! ** I love this version!!

  • this was as beautiful as the original!!!

  • cuuute !

  • This is the most amazing thing I think I have ever heard.

  • thank u so much for the french version :-) i'm learning french right now and i've started listening to disney music in french :-)

  • WoW

  • Does anybody know the lyrics of this song in french?

    I like this version :)

  • @Trasy1001 you got lyrics in description

  • @JAN0l

    Oh...yes of course ;)

    sry I didn`t see it... :D

  • as much as i love french songs as much i hated it in school

but it turns out i still remember something

  • faut que j'a chete le cd a tout prix

  • This song its beautiful, and any language!!

  • ouai t'as raison !! ^^

  • I prefer the English version, they changed so much the paroles to the French version, the ending of English version is so cute "Now that I see you (with the light)"

  • is this also mandy moore?

  • @xkamaliex Of course not !!! It's our French version , so it's a french singer ^^

  • one of my fav versions of 2010 most beautiful song

  • where did you get this?! i love this movie (seen it several times already), but now i want to see it in french. i've taken french for 3 years in high school, so i understand bits and pieces of it, but it's been a while. Maeva and Emmanuel have beautiful voices

  • whoa, is this also sung by mandy moore? o.O

  • @BakaNP no, but the voice actor more or less is the french mandy moore. such talent! i love it!

  • @Skai2O haha that's what i thought. i was thinking "mandy moore knows how to speak french??", but damn the voice sounds SO similar! it's really good..relaxing.

  • @BakaNP No xD

  • beautiful voices and lyrics <3

  • Beautiful voice but I don't understand anything!!!!!!

  • This song is beautiful...

    I recommend Polish version ;)

  • This is beautiful. I don't understand ANYTHING, but their voices are so fitting and pretty. Great job, France! I wish we were this good at picking voice actors in Norway.

  • OMG I'm italian and I love this version so bad *____* It sounds so sweet and romantic ... Awwwwwww ^//^

  • Wowwww the voices are almost the same as the one in English but damn the language sure sounds more romantic xD

  • magnifique chanson! ^^

    J'adore!

  • I'm trying to learn this so i can sing it in four languages! i already know the dutch, english and german version.

    :D

but i keep forgetting how to pronounce the ' sans jamais y croire' part :P German wasn't hard for me, for i'm Dutch and german is alot like dutch

  • @xRedheadgirl

"sans jamais y croire" you can pronounce it "san jamä i kroar" (with german letters)

  • @denkleinhavfrue Thanks :D The pronouncing isn't that hard for me, the remembering is the hardest part xD There are so many french words I don't know. It's a beautiful language though!

  • @xRedheadgirl I'm trying to do the same. My mother language is Spanish, I know English and I'm learning French. After I learn this version I'll go for the one in Italian.

  • @xRedheadgirl jamais is more ike a very soft "schamä" in german letters. ;)

  • @xRedheadgirl Yay! I don't feel like such a geek anymore.... :P I know it in English, Latin Spanish (my native language) and Italian... and parts of this one!!!

  • @xRedheadgirl omg i love all you dutch people! wish i could learn dutch. but i'm silly german and won't remember that dutch "u" is like "ü", haha! much love from near the GER-NL border :)

  • @whatifwemet aw thankss! love back ♥

MERDE !
