  • hello, i was wondering if you would answer a question of mine.. ^_^ . is turkey a muslim country, what other religions are dominant there in turkey? is turkey a middle eastern country, why do the people of turkey look so different? some are white looking, some are arabic looking, some just look different. and were did the turkish language come from? its sounds russian, but there are some farsi words that i can hear in this song. and umm i hope i am not botheing u,,i am just curious. thanks.

  • well,,First I'm not Turkish so I may be not exact with my information :)

As for Turkey's religion..Turkey is a Muslim country for sure and there might be a 1% of thurkish pp who are christains.

It's not a middle eastern country and it is at the same time LOOL

Middle Eastern countries are mostly the Arabic countreis but we Arabs consider Turkish as cousins of ours because of the religion and mutual history and cultre..

  • As for the looks of people,, they look like people of Syria and Lebanon so much ,, some of them have Bosnian orgins or Northern ones which makes them white and blonde..the Arabic looking Turkish have Arabic,Turkish roots :)

Acutally a lot of Eygptions, Syrians have Turkish roots ,, that's what I meant by saying we all share more than the religion .

The orgin of the Turkish language.. I really don't know except that it shares a lot of words with Arabic language such as Sokria, mamnoon etc..

  • I Know nothing about Iran,, but it might also share some words of the Farsi language,, because if the geographical reasons and historical roots(no wonder)

for me.. Turkish sound Indian :)

May be because we as Arabs are soo familiar with Indian language

I hope we get some ideas about what u want.

  • thanks sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much!!!!!!!!!!!!!! u cleared up a lot of confusion for me. ^_~

  • you're most welcome .. it's a pleasure to tell u any information of our Muslim counrties :)

And(lesrosesrouges)added and affirmed my information for u ...

    a lot of thanx 4 her :)

  • SeeMooZaa gave good information I think, we can be considered as cousins of Arabs because we lived side by side for so many hundreds years and of course our cultures are also similar. Concerning the religion: 99% of the population in Turkey is MUSLIM. Only 1% have different religions, these are the foreigners living in Turkey, not Turks. Turks are muslim.

  • Turkey is not a middle eastern country, it is exactly in the middle between Europe and Asia, so the Turkish people are mostly a mixture of Europe and middle east looking people. That´s why we Turks look so different (mostly)

  • thank you so much for all the info..i was just looking at a bunch of other turkish songs, and stuff, trying to figure out everything. are turkish people ARYAN? or are they ANATOLIAN? what is the differecne between the two races? what is ANATOLIAN? i just heard of it, and now i am wondering about it.

    thanks!

  • Turkish is definitely not aryan. European, Indian, Farsi, Arabic.. These are all aryan languages as far as I know. But Turkish is not Aryan. It´s a Turcic language, I would say.

  • that is not true. there are jewish and christian turks as well. but the majority is muslim. plus i consider you to be very rude to call non-muslim turks foreigners.

  • the Turks ruled the world for over 300 years--into the 16th,17th,18th till end of 19th century.

they collected beatiful woman and handsame men

  • hahahahhaha hahahahahahhaah you have 0 idea..about turkish cultur and history and people..you are so funny.........

the blond hair dont come from bosnia or northern people...the turkish race has every color...from white to red to black everything.... and the one who look arabic are turkish too...we turks dont mix..it not in our culture...... turkish race is turanid race...we are centralasians...you can see it in kivanc when he smiles he has turkish asian eyes...arabs dont see that

  • Well,I´m Turkish and I can give you some information. The Turkish language comes from the Turcic languages,it has a very different grammar, can´t be compared to the Arabic, Farsi or European language. BUT, Turks always lived very near to the Arabic and Persian culture that´s why so many words have been included to the Turkish language from Arabic of Persian(farsi)But the grammar is totally different. For example, Turks can have 1 whole sentence with only one word. "Gidiyorum." --> means: I go.

  • wooow ..nice information Leso"Shorten yr name :)"

In Arabic we have a similar lingustic rule.. we say ( ray7 or Aro7) which means I go

I'm not sure if it's ths same !

    and what's Turcic plz?

  • Turcic is the different forms of Turkish languages. For example in Azerbaidschan, Kazachstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan they all speak Turcic languages, they are different dialects of Turkish. They also have the same grammar as normal Turkish.

  • i love u gumus you are relly so beautiful
