i just got my dreadsteed.... only had one 70 guildie helping me out (and we both have NEVER gone to dire maul before) so we spent an agonising 3 hrs in dire maul - running ard getting the stupid key, disabling the stupid pylons and getting wiped at the last part... but it was WORTH it!! i'm like one of the few lvl 60 locks with dreadsteed now. Feels like I'm riding Diablo... hell yeah!

I finally got my Dreadsteed. Our group had ALOT of trouble.. We had no healer so we died many, many times. And we did not have the key so we had to get it from Dire Maul East. And after that we ran around like loose chickens just trying to find Immol'thar just to find out we had to kill the elemental mobs around the Pylons. When all that was done (that took us around 1 hour 30 minutes) we finally got to the ritual circle.. There we wiped. When we came back i just had to summon with the glyph.

And guess what, It worked. apparently.. we finished the ritual where you have to repair the stuff before we wiped. So all I had to do was to summon the Dreadsteed with the Glyph and defeat it. And I never want to do it again. Ever. lol

I was so happy because of dreadsteed, but when I saw a quest chain.. lol :)

So, I did all those quests somehow but when I had to find a group for dire maul nobody wanted to help, I found a few ppl but they were all warlocks, i couldnt find healer and tank.. I was riding stupid felsteed til lvl 65 and was so pissed off and bought riding skill and a mount..

But I still hope ill get my dreadsteed one day, its the best mount in the game :(

I have 2 questions for ya Steph. Can you keep the bell, the wheel, and candle when the ritual is finished, and what server are you on? I'd like to know please.

The items you buy from the imp for the ritual are: J'eevee's Jar 150g, Black Lodestone 50g, and Xorothian Glyphs 50g. You need the Jar to start the ritual, the lodestone to recharge bell, wheel and candle.

All three items are permanently available and not consumed. That is why a warlock who bought them can use them for any other warlock on the quest. They are soulbound though. I have them on Blaire.

i got a quick question, is it mandatory for u to spend 250g on those 3 items to do this quest or can you have a friend with those items help you and still get the dreadsteed.

A warlock who has spent the 250g can use the three items for any other warlock, he just needs to carry them to the dungeon and do the ritual with that other warlock. Keep in mind that the helping friend will need a shard for each node recharge and the mobs in DM dont give shards anymore if you are a bit past 60.

I did my dreadsteed quest with another warlock and 3 lvl 70's. It was hard. No one does Dire Maul or Scholo on Tanaris.

Hey i just tried dm today and i had no idea where to go to get to this final summoning. we got into dm west with hellfire and spawn on other side so im not sure if u need that key or not.

The end bit is in DM West isnt it? why do you to DM east?
