The Ducks were hands-down the best team in the NHL that season, boosting and incredibly strong first line of Kunitz-Macdonald-Selänne and the predecessor to the game's best line atm (RPG), Penner-Getzlaf-Perry. Their third line was the best shutdown line, maybe the best of the decade even. Their blue line featured two first-ballot HOFers in Niedermayer and Pronger and Jiggy was top notch back then.

@rollerhockey97 Yeah, just because a hockey writer wrote that doesn't necessarily mean it's true. What about the '01 Avs? They were stacked. What about the '95 Devils? They only lost 4 games the whole playoffs, and swept the heavily favored Red Wings. I mean, the '07-08 Ducks had pretty much the same roster, and got ousted in the first round.
Let it be known that I really don't give a shit either way, but I think there are handfuls of teams that were better.

Everybody beats San Jose, except for you guys of course. Hell, after San Jose you'd be hard pressed to find bigger playoff chokers than Vancouver and LA couldn't beat them either. Meanwhile, Philadelphia (56pts in 2007) has made the Cup Finals. Tampa Bay (tied with LA @ 71 pts in 2008) made it to OT of game 7 of the East Finals.....

And this morning i prayed the NHL coach fired was Terry Murray. Even with kopitar injured the kings had an edge at one point against the sharks last year but did in fact blow it. But the past two seasons which is what you are arguing, the kings have done the exact same as aneheim

That is just pathetic. Surpassed by an expansion team that exists because LA's crooked owner needed the $50 million dollar franchise fee that Disney had to cough up to setup shop in LA's market.
