Some of you people need to realize its a diesel. They "usually" run slower rpm and are ALOT heavier then gas vehicles. Sure that funny car has a custom probably tube chassis but still. ITs quite abit heavier then a gas version. Just some things to consider. And diesels dont run on as explosive as fuel as gassers do.

Sure I know that most diesels burn cleaner. Some don't. If you plan to tell me that the economical rating of a Diesel is cleaner than a Prius. You haven't done enough mathematical calculations on your blackboard.

Prius is an electric 4 cylinder gas. Where diesels are solid engine no electric, at all actually.

Glow plugs don't count as electrical they just warm things up.

So to say a Prius runs dirtier than a Diesel is just, well. Smug.

@TheNathan696969 thats not exactly true. the diesels like jettas and stuff have less emissions but stuff like this does not. The black stuff is pure carbon, your right it does fall back to the ground and gets reabsorbed. BUT, the carbon indicates that this is incomplete combustion which has another major product which is carbon monoxide, which is worse that co2 of gasoline cars because it is not used up by plants. But who cares, this kind of shit is still bad fuckin ass.

@cameron947 Your 1997 Dodge Cummins did not have a catylatic converter on it and secondly you don't have a computer controlled engine. I have a 1999 and it never had a cat on it. Don"t quote me but i think they got them between 04-07.

@killerwhale187 actually the smoke out of that isn't saying fuck al gore, it's saying thank you al gore. Diesels produce fewer green house gasses than gasoline engines do. The black smoke is proof of that, as it's heavy carbon particulates, a result of very high combustion temperatures having burned the fuel into pure carbon. The soot quickly settles to the ground, rather than going into the atmosphere and causes no harm to the atmosphere.
