@0Smilelikeyoumeanit I noticed my mistake way too late. What you're seeing there are tsunami waves with several hundred meters height. And the camera is some kilometers above the surface. That's why it's a bit awkward. Thanks though!

Nice work. If you are struggling with render times then try turning open gl on, previewing at half resolution or less and zooming out to 50%. Should speed things up a bit.

No problem. I'm no stranger to the 10+ hours render time. I just leave it over night and hope I've not forgotten anything important. Which I usually have.

Same thing here... The longest render times I've ever had to experience were not from AE though, it was the render of a glass chessboard I had modeled in Blender. It took a whole 65 hours! And was totally not worth it!

Then I tried a different rendering engine (Yafray, in case anyone is interested) and the rendering took 8 minutes, including a much better looking result. It still haunts me today :P

The reflection and colours look really great, but I can notice some repetition in the waves on the sea that looks unrealistic. I know it's hard when things take so long to preview/render.

Yeah, you're absolutely right... I noticed them afterwards ;-)

I also made the gigantic mistake of putting myself way too far over the water. The waves are actually like Tsunamis.. Just too far down to notice :D

Oh well, this took a bit over an hour to render. I've had longer times, but I don't really feel like doing that for a plugin test again :D

und ja...... aber nicht turbulent displacement sondern displacement map! ich hba die deutsche version also versetzen bei mir...... ich habe einfach 2mal den hintergrund genommen und auf den ersten versetzen angewendet und die deckkaft, von mir vorm greenscreen auf 0
