atually sony HDR-CX7 isn't a FullHD cam.its originally file size is 1440*1080.just aspect size is also 16:9...miraculous.but ur video is so vivid.i love it
I one small problem with this kind of camera... You know.. effects are really great for my eyes and my ears... but convert that format is pretty too long for me. Thats why i bought just panasonic tz7 and for me its... okey - can be.
To convert 1h movie in 1080i is sooo long!
You need good computer but sometimes i just want do it on my netbook - with Panasonic i do it without problems - fast? just for me its okey.
And i record only in 720p. my netbook eepc : ) rather cannot take 1080 ;).
Great video. Can iMovie 09 download 1080i from your camera and upload it in 1080i to YouTube? Or do you have to process it differently save it in a folder and import it from a folder via YouTube's site upload? For your Sony do you record in HDFH or HDFH HD mode to get 1080 quality. I need to upgrade from iMovie 08 to 09 because 08 won't upload the full 1080 on my new Sony HDRcx550v. May I ask why you uploaded in 720 (excellent quality BTW) instead of 1080? Thanks much.
Ihave CX-7 too but my video quality sucts (worse than DV that I bought 10 years ago). I'm using full HD quality to record and full HD quality to edit in Sony Vegas but it has a lot of pixelatio (looks like every other line is misaligh). I tried both progressive scan or first line scan first.. but none worked. How did you render the video?
