as far as the gameplay is concerned it was nice , nothing more and nothing less , very weak AI and small maps

I've always seen the red alert games as a laugh compared to the tiberian universe, and RA3 is no exception. I personally loved RA2, but that's not stopped me from playing RA3. I'll be sure to play the total conversion mod for this when it's done, but people have to understand that this game is still worth playing.

You know why? Because most Command and Conquer fans appear unable to distinguish "opinion" from "fact".Red Alert 3 was not *worse* than the other RA games. It was *different* to the other RA games.

Every single time I go to a video about RA 3, the top comment is someone bashing RA3, without providing anything like a reason for their hate. I'm not a thumbs whore, but it'd be nice if this got to the top, if only so those fanboys can see it.

I actually played RA3 first, so I didn't have nostalgia to make me hate it.

Having played both RA2 and RA3, I have come to a conclusion.

I enjoyed playing both games. RA3 wasn't all that bad, honestly - sure, there are flaws. It's not the best game ever made. But what irks me are the people who say that, because it's not what they grew up with, all of the good bits mean nothing. Also, look up "Red Alert 3 Paradox" - you won't regret it.

RA3 / C&C Generals / C&C Tiberium twilight the stories go way off of what C&C stood for. Okay I have nothing against the game but one thing is for sure. It IS NOT C&C. You need to deal with that. @CantusTropus Base building, which they took at the latest command and conquer, also not to mention the story about Kane which is NOT even in Generals, has NO storyline of C&C what so ever. RA2 slightly has it but slowly it loses its meaning... The story is how Kane managed to go back in time to take over Russia and its following nations to follow NOD in the future. Generals killed that. They should of just called it Generals not C&C Generals.

@suni31200 sure, calling it C&C Generals was inappropriate. but it was still a pretty good game (maybe not if your only after the C&C storyline) compared to RA3 imo. it didn't have any stupid animals or goddamn transformers in it. oh well at least they left out the aliens... for me the RA series should be a pretty realistic game set in an alternative time line, not some ridicules battle between animals and transformers.

Renegade is an FPS version which i respect because it STRONGLY kept the the story line and gave players / fans the option to get up and person with the enemy as the commando. May I ask where are all these units? Just destroyed and throw away. As much as you or anyone does not like what me or other people say. Until the C&C fans die, the originals by Westwood will always be respected more. I rest my case.

I personally don't mind the humorous, light-hearted, self-parodying direction for Red Alert 3. Not every game has to be in a crapsack, dreary cyberpunk/dark fantasy setting, where every person is either an edgy antihero, necessarily evil or an omnicidal complete monster.
