This will be replacing my RD700GXF just as soon as my RD700GXF sells. Love everything that Nord is doing. They're building instruments for the gigging musician that aren't loaded down with a bunch of crap sounds that nobody uses. They do a better Yamaha C7 sample than Yamaha does with their own CP1/5!!
Obviously the quality of a certain piano sample depends on the musical context. I must say that even though I find this sample far too bright and cardboardy for jazz, it takes EQing very well, and it's incredibly easy for me to set the sound the way I want. Bravo!
I grew up with concert grand Steinways. Then I played, what was and still is my personal favorite- a Yamaha C-7. THIS NORD does them both and better than any other company. I didn't like NORD until this year's NAMM and whammm!!
an instrument sounds only as good as the player knows how to play it ;D in this case its a very nice sound but check other videos i dont think that it will fit into my studio :/
I've always liked the Nord stuff... but I've always felt that their pianos were lacking in the past. I think with this new sample - which will be compatible with my Nord Stage - will finally change that.
It's good of you to post a video of this but why spend over 9 minutes demonstrating just one sound? I'm assuming they had more than 1 sound loaded in.
Great pianosound !

@swvamp many people base their buying decisions on the piano sounds alone.
Yes, Nord also has has other good sounds, electric pianoes and such.
A long demo of just piano really helps to get a feel of the instrument though for those who just want that sound.
