@SkiingGirl166029 How exactly? The Nook Tablet supports HD video, you can watch 1080p on the Nook Tablet but on the Nook Color, you can only watch 480p videos, If you try to go higher, The nook color crashes, especially if you are on Android.

My nook color froze on the unlock screen after using it for just 2 weeks! i returned and replaced it. then the new one froze after a few weeks. I am returning it to get a kindle instead.

when you upgrade the nook color now to version 1.4.1 or whatever it uses the button to bring up the menu now so it is the same as the tablet and includes the home button as well. i actually liked bringing up the home screen from the nook color than the way of the tablet but i guess its all preferential

Still think I'll go with the Nook Color. Just because my sister got one for xmas and after the new updates they layout's exactly the same; nook color is just slower and doesn't work with flash well. I'm a poor college kid, gotta think economics here. ;) lol

@jessicag2509love I don't think it supports their nook study program.  I know B&N was working on making the nook support their e-text books, but I haven't heard anything about their progress. Before you buy the e-text books, make sure your professor is ok with you using it. It's hard to get refunds on them.

The flicker is from the PWM of the LED backlight probably on the tablet the PWM has a lower frequency or is even possible that the e-reader dose not use pulse modulation that will be great.

@electrodacus Hi, I have a Nook Color, not the tablet, and I have this disturbing (to me) flickering. I've looked at many videos, sometimes it flickers on the NC, sometimes not, I really don't get why

@Hametyze Is possible especially if it is at low brightness setting probably under 40% to see the flicker. On video cameras depends on the camera and number of fps camera is recording at.

Also if you have a florescent light in the room that may accentuate the flickering since that one also flickers.

PWM for brightness control is a low cost solution but I do not like it. Some people are less disturbed by the flicker (slow brain :) ) but is not great to have that especially on a reader.

Wanna know something even cooler about the Nook Tablet? If you use the browser you can actually install non B & N apps. Like...yep I said the Kindle app. hahaha that is so cool!..Lots more too.
