  • Those that don't own one, what are you expecting? The tires to light up? I have several upgrades on my MR2 and the only time I can light up the tires is in slick conditions, otherwise, the weight distribution does what it's suppose to and keep traction on the rears thereby launching the vehicle with minimal wheelspin.

  • wow its almost like the back wheels didnt touch the ground. Im buying one in couple days. cant wait

  • man i just got a 91 mr2 m/a i love it its so fun to drive. sweet vid love the turbos just can afford it thanks for posting.

  • Someone needs to learn to shift better! lol

  • Is this with a stock engine?

  • @snoopyalien24 Yeah everything was stock

  • Man, what happened to the days where Toyota and Honda used to make FUN cars? I miss the 80s/90s Japanese auto industry.

  • @duraiden Very true indeed. Sad when we enjoy the cars of our time less and less as the years go by. In 10 years id never even dream of owning any type of late 90's/2000+ vehicle for any reason.

  • @duraiden

    Too true

  • MR2 needs a driver mod

  • nice mr2, and nice 2nd gear miss :P was it just a fumble, or was it hard to get it into 2nd? if so, your 1st to 2nd synchro might be worn, as thats wut happens to me in my mk3 supra.. 1st to 2nd is worn and during fast first gear start up its always a bitch to get it into 2nd

  • drivetrain killer, drop it just a little bit slower

  • I'm planning on getting an mr2 pretty soon, and was wondering which year is most desirable 91,92, or 93? Why? And what are the major differences between each year?

  • @DDRGURU56

Buy one as cheap as you can and just fill it with all the later model stuff. 93 is old, they made them till 97.

  • @DDRGURU56 get a 94 or later cause the suspension will make the car inbalance which means everytimes u do a drift it'll do a donut or if ur turning right and u do it to fast it will spin out which is dangerous,if u buy one and have money left over ill suggest u replace the rear suspension with a new one or just replace the whole buttom but it'll cost u a couple of grand .. :D

  • @KiingCobra1 '93 is when Toyota revised the suspension.

  • i could be wrong but were is the turbo sound?

  • u launch it high rpm huh, the way i do it to

  • it might be fuel cut "love2makeucrazy" but if you have the ct26 turbo there isnt any point in boosting past 12lbs.

  • So go with a CT20B from a WRC Celica GT-Four? :-D

  • Not true... when I had my 2nd GEN ct26 I boosted 16-17 lbs and ran great.

  • @christofurg well ct26s are good for 15lbs before they start taking a shit quicker than normally running factory boost, and i doubt ur stock ct26 is different than ne body elses stock ct26

  • isnt it a bastard when you miss second, fast car though!

  • wounder how many of those you could do without killing the clutch

  • great launch, bog in second

  • I love MR2s, Anyone know why I can't boost pass 12lbs with a MBC. No matter how much I turn it clockwise, it still won't boost pass 12lbs. The T-VSV has been disabled, but what else? I just want mine to be at 14Lbs no more.

  • good launch, bad shift

  • Nice!

  • Zoom Zoom is the mazda logo, your gonna get in trouble Oo. lol

  • yes he is... i own a mazda rx7.... wait till i tell the members at rx7 cluuuuuubb!

  • sweet i own a mazda mx6

  • Both very respectable cars.

    Both very sexy cars.

Still love the mr2 though. It would break my heart if I had to choose between an 91 mr and a 98 rx7... I'd cry so hard trying to decide xD

It would probably boil down to the mister though :3

  • what rpm did u drop your clutch at?

  • nice launch but careful you don't burn up that clutch.

  • Do the '93s with the LSD's launch a lot better?

  • lol Non-LSD

    Good launch though!

  • Nice shifting

  • lol he shifted like once. maybe twice all i heard was a shift to 2nd while steppin on the gas before clutch was fully out

  • LOL

  • lol didnt u hear it? i do that shit all the time in my ford ranger. i have no tach lol

  • Haha nice! Love the lauch in my MR2 too! Nice video. Have you changed your rear suspension, cause the back of your car doesn't get lower when you starts?

  • Yea the car was lowered about an inch, inch and a half. So it only goes slightly lower when you take off.

  • @snittolo Anti-Lift-Kit

  • i love how good our mr2s launch :)
