Im starting to think Gin may have been Soul Society's greatest swordsman just how fast he attacks and completely overwhelms Ichigo like that without getting tired at all.

I think Gin lied I don't think his bankai had the ablity he said it did when he faced Aizen cause if it did then how come Ichigo couldn't easily dodge it it clearly displayed greater speed than his shikai and Ichigo in bankai shoulda been easily able to dodge his shikai.

@mew10521 He compared ichigo's eyes from this moment to back when he first fought ichigo. Ichigo's eyes back then had more strength and determination while at the second time they fought he saw his eyes and they were weak with much self doubt and less confidence. Gin was trying to protect him because they way he was now wasn't good enough against aizen.

Is it possible that since Gin had good intentions that he might have been brought back to Soul Society or something and might make an appearance to help Ichigo later on.

Most of the part was interesting, because for a change he battle was less about power and more about strategy, but then for some reason Gin is able to block a Hollowified Getsuga. I don't understand that. Ichigo's last power-up should have brought him above Captain-level, and Gin, unlike Tosen, didn't Hollowify, so how can his powers rival Ichigo's? That really confused me...

@halfbloodwolf93 The reason Ichigo's black getsuga was so weak when he put his mask on was because Ichigo's mask was very unstable at this time. Zangetsu said that, after he went Vasto Lorde against Ulquiorra, there had been great fear in his heart, so much so he couldent properly hollowfy.

@choudjist Well noted. I hadn't realized that. It isn't said in this fight, but Gin's sword's blade turns into dust briefly when it enlongates and contracts. I'm not sure if Kubo himself realizes this strange connection, but it might be an indication of his bond with Rangiku. Well noted indeed.
